Find a few points of interest: from that coffee shop you always pass by on your way to uni or that dodgy club you sprint by on your way back home.

Check out their website. Is it anything like what they really are? Or are they trying to project a different image?

But then on the bottom of the page it says that they have 3 different stores and they all have different names. Still don’t get it though. Anyway, I noticed that basically all link involving that “funky cool” font is an image. So instead of installing the type they’ve just made written it in photoshop or whatever and put it in, also it’s not even transparent. The rounded edges are also an image, something they could’ve done in css instead. They say at the home page that they don’t really use the website but, wouldn’t it be better to just delete it… in the about us section there are missing images. It’s really really outdated and I think it would just scare costumers away, I wouldn’t wanna shop there if I saw this website. But to be fair, I think this website reflect a lot of what they are. The museum's tagline is "More than a museum". This concept is clearly reflected in the architecture of the building, in the overall funky modern branding. The museum has a clear ethos, a personality and an attitude. However after looking at the website we found that there is nothing that connects the virtual museum with the real one: it is so simple and has a clear layout with basic elements included. The website looks like a conventional museum, without a trace of a powerful personality. Ironically, it becomes "just like a museum". 

Also, the navigation bar is a bit temperamental with the cursor having to stay on the bar for the options to stay shown.

Overall, we disagree with the website that links to the actual pub/restaurant however, we understand they are trying to promote the pub to bring in more audience. 

The main thing we do not like about the website is how it does n't have a constant structure and things seem to be scattered around the page. On the other hand we like how they have used white negative space to make the website more clean and easy on the eye. I really like how the map is rather large to get a baring where the pub is. Due to being a large chain pub, i think it lives of its name, not the small commercial side. Overall, the website could do with a little more structure but its not completely terrible due to living off the company name

The actual fittings look to be an extremely high standard, and would be something I would personally love to have in my own house. 

However the website communicates a different message to me as the overall design looks very outdated. It is fully functional and works fine as a website, but aesthetically speaking it is not nice to look at at all. 

I feel that if a customer was to visit this website for the first time without looking at pictures of their services, they may be a little discouraged to contact this company. I believe that the website has this lack-luster quality to it which definitely isn't the term I would use to describe their services judging from their portfolio. 

I think even the grid/layout itself is perfectly acceptable, I just feel like it needs 'modernising' in some way, and maybe play around with the margins a little better to give the content more breathing room as everything seems bunched together.

The instant link that I receive from the Website and the museum is the same use of typeface that connects the two. Also the sticker on the front of the building with a sort of drop down menu explaining what there is inside is also what there is on the website the same layout. 

The website gives a real sense of simplicity. However the glass architecture around the front of the building doesn't look nothing like the museum. 

The appearance is vital for a honey pot site and being situated at a local tourist spot the appetising look of the building is what is making people visit. Agreeing with the tag line "more than a museum". However, this is not shown through the website. The grid like design on the overhand suggests a modernistic look and this is defiantly shown in some aspects of the design of the building.

The Phoenix's website has well-used typography, overall layout looks organised, but I think the colours matching are a little dull. It looks quite different with the actual shop. I personally think the actual shop's theme colours (dark blue and dark brown) are the way nicer than the website. If they can play with big contrast colours on the website, it can be really awesome. 

Besides, the overall messages are unclear. For an audience who is completely new to this, he/she wouldn't know this is a pub/restaurant at the first sight. I think they can add few images such as food, beverages and people who're enjoying a meal. Also, the typography's colour is too ‘soft' matching the background. It is better to change the background into white or change the font into the darker colour.

When looking at the website we have found it to reflect a simplistic feel that shows an easy way to navigate around the page. The colour pallet used on the webpage features complimentary colours that link well together and create a style that is modern and fresh. Moreover, the website reflects an element of interaction with the audience due to the use of adding dates and using the word ‘your’ to connect to the person viewing the page.
 
The tagline “more than a museum” can be reflected through the use of the buildings appearance and location, as it is situated in part of the most thriving places in the city. Not only this, but the building is shaped in a way that reflects a modern style and takes on a unique and different view than an conventional looking museum building would. However, the website feels slightly detached from the buildings appearance, due to the difference in structure. Whilst both give off that ‘modern’ feel, the layout of the website doesn’t grasp the uniqueness of the building as much as we feel it should do. We would say however that the typography and colours used within this on the outside of the building are consistent with that throughout the website.

The Empire Coventry's website is pretty basic, using a centred flat logo for all of the pages from the website. For the background, they used dark and blue fixed photos from the parties before.

The header contains the welcome, about, tickets and other pages for social media and photo galleries, but all of them are basically the same. Regardless to the typography, the font is way too small and the edges are to sharp, so they make the typeface look rough and pixelated.
