After his death, his son Alexander III becomes successor.

Balkan Crisis, Russia helped serbia in war and lost many soldiers.

Russia joins the Triple Allies, France and Great Britain, uniting against Germany.

Nicholas II resigns because of poor conditions.

Civil war ensues in Russia.

Nicolas established temporary government with Aleksandr Kerensky and made many unhappy, causing rebellion.

Vladimir Lenin, the  Bolshevik leader, was forced to live outside Russia.

The Treaty of Versailles ended World War I.
