This will be a 4-day work experience placement.

     

    Some activities commencing will include a Site tour around Sizewell A nuclear power station, 1 of 20 Nuclear sites that nuclear restoration services facilitate the maintenance and decommissioning of. Additionally, there will be opportunity for activities such as drone flying around site and hands on engineering work!

     

    Whilst on this work experience week, students will learn about the history of nuclear power in the UK, day to day operation of a decommissioning nuclear site, as well as insight on the pathway to become a chartered Nuclear Engineer and the responsibilities and tasks they manage on site.

     

    This work experience will be mostly focused on students wanting to pursue a career in professional engineering or project management.
