When he talk about how the education system is fail but succeeding at what it was built to do I think he is talking about students are suppose to learn but many kid don't pay attention in class all they do is talk and laugh .

I believe the school education is help to succeed by opening doors of opportunity unintentionally. This statement is both a positive and negative in my eye because the positive part is that It is helping students into success but is also negative. The negative side is that with different opportunities happening the students may not be getting a proper education as they may not pay attention in subjects that disinterest them.

i think that london is saying that education system are not made to build students up and let them know they can follow their dreams they are made to let them know they are just like their parents and will never be what they want to because outside of school nobody trying to see them make it out i think this is negative because education systems are failing the kids but are sucseeding at making them feel bad about where they come from because at the end of they day the students are the people that have to go home to a "ghetto" neiboorhood and call it "home"

I think its both positive and negative because some people believe that they make it so a black person is suppose to fail the positive part is that school is suppose to help you get an education and a good job (some of the time).

I believe that the system is succeeding because there are plenty amount of high school students who graduating. It is also failing because 1/3 of high school children fails college. So this is both a positive and negative because the systems are failing but also doing what they were made to do.
