In my final photo, you can see the beautiful waterfall that is pouring down from the small stream above. The water is most likely coming from melting ice at the top of the mountain and is very fresh, cold and tastes great!

This photo is great! My pups look pretty happy they got to go run around and explore after being quarantined for quite some time. In the back you can see a nice little cool cave that probably formed many years ago.

Here you can see a little stream that has powered its way through the ground and spits off in a beautiful waterfall at the end. I thought this was particularly cool because of the module where we talked about rivers and streams. You are able to clearly see how the stream meanders in a snake like pattern as it crumbles the dirt in its path.

As I was driving into Bluff Springs where i was going to be setting up camp, I noticed this area where the rock looked a little different than the surrounding area. There was actually water dripping down for the top of the mountain and at a decent rate. The water is probably coming from melting ice at the summit.

One thing I took away from this field trip was how these big mountains can start from almost nothing and as years go on layers upon layers are added to make these massive structures. Also, it was neat to see the steams meander and how they are never really straight. Lastly, I did some research to find out how caves are formed and from what I found is that they can be formed by constant flow of water dissolving the rock over a long period of time. This makes sense to me because the cave was literally right next to the waterfall which makes me think that maybe at some point the water was redirected to where it is now. This is a great get-away if anyone is ever needing it. It is strictly dispersed camping so there are no camping amenities. Pop up a tent and enjoy solidarity and nature. Oh and it was also 65 degrees during the day and 40 at night so a great escape from the desert heat!
