The role of the teacher requires adaptation. Developing a new awareness of language takes time and teachers need to keep changing when necessary. We not only need to meet the students where they are at but also fast track them to the future. The realization that the role of being a teacher is long term is important. As a tutor, the students have presented their online instruction and I have been challenged to comprehend it. Looking back, I have learned more about the technology capabilities of an I-Pad than ever before.
As a student, I have had to realize the requirement of staring at my computer all day.
