2. At Winthrop University I majored in Spanish and minored in French. I have a Master's degree in Spanish from USC Columbia.

3. I am in my eighth year teaching Spanish here at Upstate.

4. I took my first Spanish class in high school. I liked it so much that I went to Mexico the next summer to take a Spanish 2 class. In addition to Mexico, I have also traveled to Spain and Cuba and have had many Spanish-speaking friends through the years.

5. My husband and I are animal lovers; we share our home with two dogs and a cat.
