I then used the dodge tool on 'highlight' to accentuate the silver writing, as it is the focus of the image, I also used the burn tool to darken the black wall to add to this. I also used the dodge tool to brighten the highlights on the brown writing, and the burn tool to darken the shadows on the writing. I then used the burn tool to darken the floor and sky, in order to place focus on the graffiti wall. I then added a brightness and contrast layer, turning the contrast up to define the colours. I then sharpened the image and saved. In order to improve this image I would change the settings on the burn tool when using it on the ground and tree, as compared to the other aspects of the image these parts look considerably darker. I then added a hue and saturation layer, increasing the saturation with a lower brightness to boost the brighter colours. I used the burn tool on the shadow setting to darken the trees and bushes on either side of the houses to create more depth to the image. I then used the dodge tool to highlight the water to make it look reflective and a more inciting colour. Then I used the burn tool to darken the pathway on the opposite side to contrast the orange of the tree above. I also used the dodge tool to highlight the brighter colours on the boats to make them more centre to the image. To improve this image I could use the dodge tool on a lower exposure in order to make the reflections on the water more natural. I then used the adjustment levels tool to slightly lower the input level to create contrast in the image, and add depth to the colour in the graffiti. I then used the burn tool on the highlight setting, and used it on the sky, to highlight the shape of the clouds and correct the burn out. I then added a hue and saturation, and increased the saturation to highlight the red in the graffiti. I then added a hue and saturation adjustment layer, and slightly increased the saturation to add depth to the blue colour in the sky. I then added a black and white adjustment layer, and added a blur colour tint to the picture, and I then used the colouring in tool on the layer to the the tint from the rest of the picture and only keep it on the windows, in order to add another layer of depth to the picture. I then used the burn tool to darken the brick and the dodge tool to highlight the glass windows, before finally sharpening the finished image. To improve this image I would use the burn tool on a lower exposure, when using it on the brickwork. And then the dodge tool on mid tones, to highlight the lighter colour in the graffiti, to add contrast, such as the blues, yellows and whites. I then added a brightness and contrast adjustment layer to brighten the picture whilst simultaneously deepen the contrast. I then added a hue and saturation layer and slightly increased the saturation to brighten and intensify the colour of the sky and brick work. I then used the dodge tool on highlight to intensify the windows. I then used the burn tool on the midtones setting to darken the sky around the clouds, to add definition to the shape, by adding contrast. I then converted the image for smart filters and added an iris blur, in order to add emphasis on the block of flats by blurring the surroundings.
