  • Telemachus is Odysseus' son who went on a quest to find his father after being gone all these years.
  • He is the man of the house while Odysseus is not present and protects his mother, Penelope, from danger of the suitors.
  • He remains loyal to his father after all the years of being without him and helps Odysseus defete the suitors to have Penelope regain Odysseus' love.
  • Telemachus travels long and hard journeys to search for Odysseus and has to face much trial to finally find his father and help him return safely home.
  • Not even knowing who the beggar is, Telemachus is kind to him and helps and protects him from all harm.
