My mother grew up with a mandatory sewing class, but nothing about technologies such as a typewriter. It wasn't an option that she could choose.

In the 1960s, my mother would go to a friend's house after school one day during elementary school. My mother's household couldn't afford a refrigerator, so every time they needed ice, they would have to purchase a big bag that would only last a day. Her friend's house had a refrigerator, and my mom had asked for some water, and she pulled out ice. My mother was surprised to witness something new and couldn't process how a fridge could produce ice?!

One of the things that he liked about using the Apple computer was the games it had available at the time and the computer learning programs that were coming out at the time.

Joey ended up having an Apple computer gifted to him by his family. This allowed him to take his "floppy disks" home from school to continue to write his stories (fan fiction). He would pass it on to others in school to read, and they could also save the files to their computers.

One of the few things that Joey didn't like about Apple computers was the loading times and insufficient memory storage available for all downloads. Like game consoles today, he had to delete many files to create a room unless you buy maximum storage or a USB memory. It was essential to use the "floppy disks" for the beginning models of the Apple computer to save files or downloads.
