Maybe we could develop a tool that emphasized the level of support for the candidates. Many times, they don't know where they can get support.

Many mentors work on a tool per week and that takes them though module 1-3. With this schedule, there will be more "free time". So maybe a menu or options for other things to discuss at meetings might be good, reiterating that they still need to meet even if all tools are complete. (not a question, sorry. Can't move it)

Could we have group training sessions? These would be similar to pre-service classes but for groups of candidates struggling with similar issues. Most beginning teachers struggle with classroom management.

Two Observations would work as long as the Tool is Part I and II. This way the observation can have a focus and next steps built in.

Not all class teachers are able to be observed on or within the times of the Module dates, especially when working toward a goal established.

As experienced teachers we know that classroom management can make or break a year. Maybe it would be a good idea to require every first year candidate to complete the classroom routine/management tool as their first assignment.
