Erasmus+ Eurajoki, Finnland, 11.5.2025 - 17.5.2025 by Metoda Ljubec

Today we started the journey at 3 in Ljutomer. We drove to Vienna by car 3.5 hours. From there it was a 2.5 hour flight to Helsinki. Then we spent on the train for 1 hour and other 3.5 hours on the bus. We arrived to our destination - Rauma - after 17 hours. 💪👍🙂🥰

Today our School started at 9 am. In the school we and Poland had our presentation. Then we had lunch, Meat stew with potatoes. After lunch we took a bus to the Eurjoki's Water Tower and the Focault. Then we downloaded the app www.Actionbound.com so we could find the locations we need to go to. After that a bus picked us up and drove us to school. There we had a snack and then our host drove us back home.

We started school at 9 am. First, we made some stickers that will be put onto a cup. Then we played some Mölkky with the fourth grade students. For lunch, we had fish with some boiled potatoes and vegetables. In the we had a finished national trial run. There were different teams, red, blue and the green team. After the race. And as part of our last task, we made some karjalanpiorakka. karjalanpiorakka is a traditional finish snack. We were picked up by the parents of our hosts. At 6 pm, we are going to go bowling.

At the end of the school day we had a little snack. It was a strawberry soup/jello. We tried and quickly found out that it’s very good. It’s sweet and it tastes like strawberry’s of course.🍓😋

After bowling we went to a restaurant. There was a lot of things on the menu like pizzas, hamburgers, salads and of course kebabs. I chose kebab. It was very delicious! I also drank the muumin drink and it was really good too. We were laughing, talking and the most important we had fun.🍕🥙😋❤️

Today our school started at 8 am. When we got to the school we got on the bus and drove to Olkiluoto. There we first got a traditional Finnish blueberry pie and something to drink. Then we watched a film about the Nuclear power station and their company. We also went to their museum. Then we looked for certain bugs outside and also put up houses for them. Then we drove to their school and had lunch. For lunch we had sausage, mashed potatoes and veggies. After lunch we had 3 different workshops, after that we had a snack and then we went to the families.

Today we had some workshops and of them was making moomin characters out of clay. It was cool.🤍💫

We started the day at 9 in the morning infront of the school. The bus was already waiting and we went to the beach. First we went on a walk through the forest to get to the beach cabin. At the beach we did 8 Moomin tasks. After the tasks we made a campfire and we cooked sausages and some traditional finnish bread. We also Explored the coast and played more games. Then we walked back to the bus and went home. Later we are going shopping.

The last day started at 9 o’clock like the other days. First hours was craft. We did those little robots with faces. We were crafting for 2 hours then it was time for lunch. For lunch we had meatballs, potatoes and salad. After the lunch we had little break then we continued with traditional Finnish, Polish and Slovenian games. The last school day ended with giving certificates and chocolates, hugging and talking. Now it’s just some hours that tear us apart the way back home.🙁
