In order to promote gender equality, we suggest the following 5 actions:

We believe a way to positively promote a change over gender inequality, men should stop saying to each other they act like a “girl” just because they feel sad or vulnerable. These actions aren’t healthy for them and women.
Another way is to promote the initiative to men to help their wives on house chores instead of asking them if they need help, but doing it.
Eliminate beliefs that are considered normal, but they have sexist bases.
Start to not ignore the problem just because a fraction of the problem is “resolved” instead, we need to continue promoting gender equality.
Also, we need to stop justifying sexist beliefs and attitudes arguing that they aren't sexist because they've got a mom or femenin figure in their lives.

What do they think about the information you learned?
It is good to learn this because you learn to identify patterns that are not right and should not be normal.
Is the gender inequality situation true for our society, for our home?
Gender inequality is something that happens in our society and in our home. Maybe it will take two or three more generations for the inequality to be less noticeable.

Is there anything you as a son/daughter can do to ease the burden or reduce the workload?
I can help my parents when they’re both busy with their jobs by doing the dishes, washing and hanging clothes, basically helping them with household chores.

What did you learn from talking to your parents?
What I learned from talking with my parents is that they don’t have this belief that everything should be done by women, but rather that they as a couple are a team that should cooperate equally in the household chores.

That it's good to have this information and be aware of different types of people

Is the gender inequality situation true for society, for our home?
You can still find gender inequality nowadays, but not in our homes, probably in your non-close families, at work, school, but not in home.

Is there anything you as son/daughter can do to ease the burden or reduce the workload?
I can help with house chores when my parents are really busy, I also help my little sister with her homework and even sometimes (when my mom/dad can't cook) i have to prepare everybody's meal.

What did you learn from talking to your parents?
What I have learned while talking to my parents every day is teamwork, how they divide chores and how there's no gender inequality with them, my parents are a team, my mom doesn't do all the housework, my dad doesn’t work all day, they have found a pretty good balance.

Studies show that mothers who are working from home increase their time and activities in the household in a way that fathers do not.
Our societies still believe that women hold the responsibility when it comes to housework and care, while men are still mainly responsible for the bread-winning.
Employers expect women to use flexible working to address family demands, while men are expected to protect their working time. A study carried by Yvonne Lott found that flexible working led to income premiums for men but not for women.
People also think that women staying at their homes is better for their children
A recent German study has shown that when women work from home, they tend to do three hours more childcare compared to women who do not work from home - while men who are home-workers end up doing more overtime hours.
