On page 292 the book states that "every early childhood and after-school program should have a written plan for how suspected incidences of abuse and neglect are handled." I think that this is so important for the protection of the children. Suspected abuse should be turned in to the administrator but as the book points out if you are not happy with the results you should handle it yourself. For the sake of a child's life I think that that is one of the most important parts. As a teacher I couldn't live with myself if because of my actions a student got hurt or slipped through the cracks. It's not our job to prove suspicions of abuse but it is always our job to report those suspicions and CPS should be contacted immediately.
