IG seems to be quite popular among all groups from teens to adults. This may be the platform for me to explore more as i do not flex with it and perhaps throw in Capcut or Animaker to compliment it. [Ho Wei Ta Jerome]

Although I am aware of the various content creation platforms, I have never created one. So, for my assignment, I intend to study some popular content creators to get ideas on how to create an interesting and eye catching content. I believe that for many platforms, they would be easy to use to help novice like me. There will be teething problems and perhaps some pain while attempting it for the first time, but I believe that it will be not to be too difficult (if I really want to create one).

Canva is a useful tool that I use it for work, but I have not mastered all the available functions. I am always amazed with the function such as creation of video, presentation and event poster. I hope to be able to create a video using Canva.

Animaker is something like Plotagon. I have not tried it but it seems to be more user friendly than Plotagon. Maybe I would have a go at animaker.

Making a reel with any video editor is alot faster and fun.

I have used Canva before but have yet to explore beyond the basics (limited to creating poster and slides for work). I should explore the advanced features such as animation and transition to elevate my digital skills. I am also wondering if the features in Canva are similar to CapCut. Exploring and be comfortable with AI powered templates (Canva AI) also intrigues me. - Julia

In one of our earlier assignments ( under Selina) , sometime last November , one of the Group members suggested that we used Canva in our assignment .

It was the first time for me and I found it very easy to use , friendly and effective for the team to work online , and have access to various graphics and templates for the presentations

Will like to continue to be updated and learn to use Canva for presentations and assignments

Canva is new to me and it was introduced by one of our classmates during the 1st Module . We did our assignment using the presentation as they have very nice graphics . After today lesson , I then realised there are so many functions (video etc). Will try to explore more with it .

I had been aware of Canvas, yet to try. Hope to learn & use it for assignment 2. While I am also aware of other social media platforms, I do not post anything on them. Though this past year, I have been scrolling IG for posts on kids, parenting, positivity, activities, etc etc... And recently, I learnt that TikTok is a good place to scroll for travel reels, will want to explore this function too. - Angel

Canva has been around for a while and my experience with it is:

Doing up a 2-page CV using one of its template provided. It was a "let's try it" moment and after getting started, I really liked the feel of it - I just needed to feed relevant information into the template and eventually turned out to be a nice visual compared to using Microsoft Word.
Getting my PET students to explore Canva to do a simple website for their prototype.
Seeing how my children and PET students prefer Canva over Powerpoint to do up their deck of slides for class presentation. In fact, some of my PET students have difficulty navigating Powerpoint but does Canva with so much ease.

I am keen to explore Canva more - will firstly do so by watching some Youtube videos e.g. "Canva Masterclass" and "How to use Canva". Next, I'll explore it and use it to create something to post on IG - perhaps a reel, perhaps a poster?

Canva has AI picture generation, very good quality but need key words to generate.

Content creation strategy

>If it is video creation:

-Need to find out recent trend & their audios (for reference)

-Then which one am I comfortable in doing/referencing to and make use of AI. Ie. I cannot do Tiktok dance, but can I use AI to "make myself dance"

Not sure how but still exploring the use of AI Video Generation, very interesting.

>If it is not video creation:

-Adobe Apps to design picture colours (but high effort, high quality, high on time)

-Set a 'default' colour set for post/pictures

-Fonts style & size matters, try to have less white space and picture to content ratio

I particularly like the anatomy of the IG post as it helps me to recall the different aspects that make up a good post. To cite the location to let others know where you are or have been, to use hashtags to spread the word to others who share the same interests, to have an attractive visual to capture audience, a clear and consider call to action and i would like to add too, to have a relatable message or story to tell your readers.

Simple strategies such as anchoring on a hook and steps to create a youth-friendly content is very applicable and informative.

The same concept can be applied to any post we wish to create in the future.
