Plants, animals, bugs,…. You name them.

But the thing that fascinates me the most is WATER. In fact, it can boil you to death, freeze you to death, drown you, yet you still need it to survive. So, let me show you THE WONDERS OF WATER.

As you see, water is an essential part of our lives. We can still be alive when we go a month without food, but without water? We’ll be dead in three days! Apart from needing it to be alive, water also helps us A LOT. Remember, HOW are we going to cook, to wash, to clean without it? It keeps us and the things around us hygienic.

Water conservation is extremely important. Although 70% of Earth is covered in water, only 1% of it is freshwater, if not trapped in glaciers they would still be in ice floes deep down. Only a bit of that freshwater is at our reach, so, how can we preserve it? There are these ways we can do:

1. Turn off the tap when you are not using

2. Challenge your family to do a 5- minute shower

3. Check for leaks, because a leaking toilet could waste 200 gallons of water each day

4. Watch the weather! Rain is a free and natural source of water. Only water your plants when they really need it.

As we know, nature comprises of bugs, insects, animals, landscapes, and plants. But the thing that interests me most is WATER.

Strangely, water can be a murderer while being a life-saving superhero. Water can freeze you to death (if you have a refrigerator, some space and water), boil you to death (if pots and kettles were available), drown you to death, and if you drink too much water it will also bring you to your death... Yet we need water to survive, or else you will be skin and bones in just TWO DAYS, while you can go for a week or so if food is impossible to reach. Without water, you would be roasted to death, boiled to death (your sweat will do), cooked to death, and so on. So, water is essentially the main path to survival. But the precious liquid isn't plentiful around the world. According to science and math combined, there is only 3% of freshwater, while the other 97% belongs to the oceans. But only 1% of freshwater is prepared to be used if the two recent Ice Ages 2.4 billion and 2.1 billion years ago haven't frozen the other 2% of freshwater, now hidden in ice floes and glaciers in the North and South poles or Antarctica. So basically 7 billion people are sharing 1% of freshwater when you are reading this paragraph. But we can still conserve water (if you contribute to it)

We could:

-Turn off the taps when you are finished using them.

-Reduce water usage

-Use rainwater (an excellent substitute, but boil it first)

Fix leaks in taps and toilets and anything else that might use water (but don't fix your little brother/sister)

The hurricane Yagi just hit Vietnam, and it had caused a great deal of damage to property and people. What do you think that caused this? The answer is US! WE caused global warming. WE laid the new roads! Do you know how harmful it can be when a new road is laid? It can change the weather , yes, CHANGE it. You can go out all sunny and suddenly it rains!

Did you know that an average baby can waste over 5 tons of diapers? And they deposited them out on Earth! And if an average forgetful family remembers to turn off the lights every time they aren’t using, it can power a whole ROCKET? If we keep burning these fossil fuels at the same rate, the ozone layer will soon disappear? See? We are wasting Earth’s resources. It was us that polluted the planet.

So, to end this presentation, I want to say a thing: We are slowly killing our selves, if we don’t stop the actions that may seem harmless, WE will soon be extinct.

1. LANGUAGE AND BODY LANGUAGE

You should know the language of the place you're going to. If not, the language you use may sometimes sound like rude words, and some certain body language you use would definitely get you in trouble.

Laws are important everywhere. Make sure to learn the laws of the place you're going to. There are some stuff that are legal in this place, but illegal in other places. Example: You live in Texas, where guns are legal to carry around. When you travel to another state or country and you don't study it's laws, you'll still bring guns with you, and that would definitely get you in trouble.

3. BE FRIENDLY

Being friendly is extremely important. It'll help you make new friends, and can even get you a free tour guide if you're at a different place! Also, remember to use friendly language and body language to make sure you don't insult them. So, now you know that if you go around sticking your middle finger at everyone, it would definitely get you in trouble.

So, to top it off, be careful when you visit another country, because maybe it'll cost you a fortune if you accidentally litter in Singapore, and some certain other things you do brainlessly at some other places would definitely get you in trouble.

The first, DO NOT TALK LOUDLY AT TEMPLES, PAGODAS. Why? This is a really important thing to know when going to places. A temple, a pagoda is a sacred placed where we worship military heros had help us, our country so we need to respect them. The second thing, THROW TRASH IN THE RIGHT PLACE :THE RUBBISH BIN. Throwing the litter or trash not only help that place looks more beautiful or more cleaner,it even helps the enviroment. Everywhere now have trash cans and rubbish bins. So throwing trash into the trash can is a small and easy thing that everyone can do.

What actually happened to this duckbill- shaped rock? Well, to make a long story short, in 2016, it toppled over. At first, experts thought this was by nature. But, NO. This is where it gets stupid. They call it an act-of-revenge! How dumb is that! Later, a video footage showed that it was knocked over on PURPOSE! Some brainless people knocked it over, just because a friend recently broke a leg there. Why do they have to be so selfish? If they don’t enjoy it, other people do!

Let's imagine you were learning how to play your first instrument. As you play, you feel happy, confident, and comfortable. Your brain then sends a message down to the nerves about the music, so that you feel a bit more happier when you think about it. You might declare your first piece of music "Best in the world" but that isn't quite true. Googolplexes of humans and aliens (not necessarily) have different opinions of which music is best, from, classical, rap, pop, jazz, and calm. These kinds of music have different effects on humanity, so it's really hard to declare the best music to hear. But for me, when I listen to music, it brings me a sense of enjoyment to listen more or maybe, pleasure.

Do you know what the best way to enjoy music is? As for me, I think playing an instrument would be it. Playing a musical instrument could sharpen your hearing, reaction, and you can be more sensitive in many situations. I play the piano and the kalimba, and it does help me relax, well, sometimes:))).

People listen to different kinds of music. Why is that? Because everyone is different, so are their tastes of music. This kind of music might sound too noisy to these people, but it might be very exciting, according to some others. It’s based on their own surroundings and themselves.

Everyone is different, but there’s one thing that we agree on: Music is life’s soul, without it, life would be gray and dull. Firstly, I am thankful for my family. it is because of the care that they give to me, you know, food, education,... It's all that keeps me motivated to continue with my life. Thirdly, I am thankful for my own community around me.               It happened on summer break when me and my sibling had come to my grandparents house. We are having dinner when my aunt says that she and my mom are doing grocery shopping. It was good news for me and my sibling because we each bring a computer, so that means our plan is to grind our stats in our favourite game. When my mom and my aunt left, we got straight to the computer. But before we go and get the computer, I go to the bathroom first and left my sibling waiting outside the bathroom. After I’m done, we go and get our computers but we realized the door in my cousin’s room was locked. I hear there are some music outside, so I realized my cousin is hosting a party, and because he don’t want us to join in, he locked the door on purpose. We try to pound the door, but it’s no use, then we heared some smashing metal noise. We don’t know what it is so we decided to read some comic books in my cousin’s room to entertain ourselves. At 10PM, the party is still going and we’re getting sleepy so we decided to do to bed, despite the noisiness of the party, we still sleep anyway.

              The next day, I’ve woken up by some kind of shouting. I quickly brush my teeth and went to check. When I went down to the kitchen, I saw my cousin is in big trouble with my aunt, my uncle and my mom. I was shocked to see both of our computer have been smashed to pieces and put in a plastic bag. Suddenly, I realized the smashing metal noise is all about. Right now, my sibling and my other cousin is laughing at my cousin who started the party. They laugh so hard that they couldn’t enjoy breakfast. I decided to laugh with them and eat some breakfast, but it was really hard. The cousin who started the party got grounded for the rest of summer break and he also has to buy two computers of our choice with his own money. We both choose the finest ones and he lost almost 5000 dollars.

              That big mistake of his got left him crying because he spent all of his life savings for two finest computers. But for me and my siblings, that was the most satisfying revenge and lesson we gave to him.

One life lesson that really stands out to me—and that I've seen in my family and friends—is the power of resilience, or as I like to call it, getting back up after life knocks you down. We all know that life loves to throw curveballs. One minute you’re cruising along, and the next thing you know, you’re knee-deep in a mess. But resilience is about what you do next. Do you stay down, or do you get up and keep going?

My grandmother is a perfect example. She’s been through a lot—health issues, losing loved ones, and all sorts of challenges. But instead of giving up or letting it break her, she’s like, “Alright, that sucked, but what’s next?” No matter how tough things got, she never let it stop her from moving forward. She’d go through something tough, then turn around with a smile, and say, “Well, at least I’ve got a good story for the next family gathering!”

This taught me that resilience isn’t about avoiding difficulties, it’s about bouncing back. It’s about finding humor in the tough times, adjusting when plans fall apart, and realizing that sometimes the best way to cope is to just laugh it off. Like when you lose your job, and at first, you panic, but then you start thinking, “Maybe this is a chance to do something completely different!” You can either wallow in frustration or look for the next step forward, and trust me, the second option is way more fun (and productive).

Of course, having a support system is another big part of resilience. Let’s face it, no one gets through tough times alone. Whether it’s your best friend showing up with ice cream or your mom giving you the pep talk you didn’t ask for but desperately needed, having people around you makes all the difference. Sometimes the best way to get through a challenge is to let others help you out and maybe take a break to eat some pizza together.

Another thing I’ve learned is that life is always changing, and you’ve got to roll with it. The key to resilience is adaptability. When life hands you lemons, it’s up to you whether you just stand there feeling sorry for yourself, or you make lemonade (or margaritas, if you prefer). Things don’t always go according to plan, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make the best of what you’ve got.

So, the next time life throws you a curveball, ask yourself: How will you respond? Are you going to get stuck in the frustration, or are you going to pick yourself up, adapt, laugh it off, and move forward? Resilience is about more than surviving—it’s about thriving through the tough times, learning from them, and growing stronger. And hey, if my grandma can face all her challenges and still throw a killer dinner party, there’s no reason you can’t do the same. Keep going, keep laughing, and trust that you’ve got what it takes to handle whatever comes your way.
