Like most of us, I spent childhood in Miami, where I discovered what made me tick through music and, strangely enough, nature. Since I knew people impacted by storms, I find the subject matter quite intriguing.

What wicked Problem I wanted to talk about?

Florida is currently facing a serious financing crisis related to storms and flooding. As a result, many individuals have lost their houses due to a lack of preparation time and money. While we cannot prevent hurricanes, we can certainly improve our preparedness.

Main solution to flooding

I propose that we start rewarding recycling more as a solution. I believe there is a way we can help those that do it, because, to be honest, there isn't a whole lot of incentive for people to do it.

What's the Motivation?

As I learn it isn't easy to ask people to do it. I propose a federal tax cut for individuals who participate in recycling programs; this will increase our available resources, which we can then put to good use by erecting barriers to reduce the frequency and severity of floods in Tampa.

How would you know, if someone's recycling?
