I thought this was an interesting and funny picture to use. It represents employees receiving training. The light bulb that is not lit represents the employer prior to training. The light bulbs that are lit are a symbol of the employees after they have received their training.

I decided to go with this image to represent the recruiting process because ir gives you a good idea of how hard the decision process can be. The decision making between two candidates may be easy however against several as displayed in this picture can be a real struggle. So many good options, who do you chose and why?

Being part of the human resource department, you must have an understanding of this before action is taken.

Termination can be a hard thing to do being in the human resources department. Steps must be taken before termination is met to prevent a court case leaning in the favor of the employee. The other reason giving an employee warnings of the possibility of termination is to get them considering other jobs so they are prepared if they are in fact let go.

Budget cutting can lead to terminating, a word nobody likes. If the time does come, you need to be able to make these hard decisions wisely. You cannot simply pick the closet person to you. You need to keep the most valuable employees with you and weave out the least valuable. This picture is a good example of how budget cutting can effect the employees.

Small gifts along with the recognition motivate employees to go above and beyond your expectations.

Discrimination has died down greatly but is still alive and cannot be treated lightly. You must hire upon what your expectations are, not off of race, gender, religion, etc. Even when you are denying a position due to lacking the requirements you need to be met, you must be sure to word your sentences correctly to prevent a possible court case for discrimination.

I chose this photo for two reasons. It makes a statement about sexual harassment in a comedic form, and it shows a dog dressed up as a human. How can you go wrong with a dog dressed up? In all seriousness, sexual harassment is something that cannot be tolerated one bit. You need to develop a safe and comfortable work environment for your staff.

Employee evaluation is like the mid term and final of your high school class. This determines whether not you are benefiting the company or not. This will lead to other actions such as rewarding or termination. To keep a company rolling smoothly, you must stay on top of procedures such as this to keep the motivation up and laziness out the door. Would you safely say that everyone among your department would be ready to hit that button at any moment without warning?
