As a course goal, I aim to learn more about the warning indicators of trauma and coping skills after suffering trauma. I would also like further information on how to recognize the signs of a crisis and how to respond to one. I am presently teaching eighth-grade writing at a local middle school, where I am in my twentieth year as a teacher.

This section's assignment gave me the opportunity to share some of my personal knowledge and experience with mental illness, trauma, and crisis. By taking one of the assessments, I realized what I know and what I need to learn for my future role as an LPC in relation to mental illness, crisis, and trauma. In addition, I was able to connect with my classmates by learning more about their backgrounds.
The ratio of the number of people with mental illness to the number of people who receive treatment was one of the most surprising things I learned while completing this assignment and conducting my research.

Due to my lack of Excel proficiency, I found this task to be quite challenging. Nevertheless, the outcome was well worth the trouble. This assignment required extensive research, but I was able to examine each topic in-depth and document my findings. I was allowed to access videos, websites, articles, peer-reviewed journals, and images pertaining to each topic and store them on this document for future reference.

This assignment has been the one I've enjoyed the most by far. It allowed me and my classmates to collaborate and share diverse views and interpretations of the course's stuff. In addition, we were able to interact and challenge one another in a respectful and professional manner.
Due to the length of the assignment, I was able to conduct more in-depth research and investigate the nature and effects of trauma. Reading the differing opinions that many of my classmates had about the documentaries they watched was the most intriguing aspect. In our final posts, we were required to apply everything we had learned and summarize it into a coherent reflection and come up with a treatment plan for the individual who experienced the trauma.

The six primary aims of the ACA Code of Ethics are as follows: to help guide client relationships, confidentiality, professional duties and relationships, assessment processes, training and teaching, research, virtual counseling scenarios, and to aid in the resolution of ethical difficulties.

This group project gave our members the opportunity to examine substance abuse in a school setting and the various methods for preventing substance usage, and ultimately to develop a Crisis and Threat Assessment plan. I absolutely enjoyed this assignment and found every piece of information offered by each group member to be extremely useful. I learned not only more about substance abuse in a school context but also how to effectively interact with a group of people and listen to each person's perspective. This was, by far, one of my favorite assignments.

As a future LPC, I found Loretta Bradley's Counseling Hierarchy and Counseling Skills sheet extremely useful when completing my last assignment. I believe that keeping this information in an easily accessible location will be very beneficial in the future. During my independent research, I learned that the role of a counselor is to advocate for their client. These counseling stems are ideal for a supervisor working with a supervisee and instructing them on their advocate responsibilities.
