The 1st day of my ICON Awestruck was one of the best moments of my life eversince the start of the pandemic. The best awestruck moments for me is during the hangouts, because there you will meet more people and in a short period of time you are also building spiritual friendship with the people you are with. The best part is when I shared about what our room 2 was all about and they made me sing as well, although I am shy I still sang for I know there is no regret in showing my talent when you know that you are doing it infront of YFCs. The people that I always met during hangouts are always with me during hangouts 2 and workshops and it really is amazing for not only did I met new people I also made spiritual friendship with them as we gather on the same group and activities once again. The more my friends grow the more exciting my YFC journey will be.

I have been crying and locking myself for three days now because of a recent failure and for the past months I have been experiencing this spiritual drought and emptiness but the first speaker and sharer reminded me of how to reorganize my routine in a way that it gives glory to God. My first Awestruck moment with God is when my father introduce me the catholic faith in my mother church Immaculate Conception Parish Damar. Palagi nya ako ginigising at inaayos ang mga kailangan kong dalhin bago ako pumunta sa simbahan at umattend ng Children Catechism and now. nagseserve na ako ngayon sa simbahan kung saan ako lumaki. Lastly, I am happy now because kasama na sya ni Lord ❤

Currently, I'm in a complicated situation, and even at a young age, I never thought na mararanasan ko ito. It's been weeks, ganun pala yung pakiramdam ng sobrang lungkot, I didn't wan't this post to be dark but I just want to share yung pakiramdam na blanko, malungkot tapos gusto ko lang matulog kasi kung ganun, di ko maaalala yung problema ko. Tapos matutulala lang.

But thank God, I found my way back, I tried to reflect parin every night on those dark days. It's alright to be in the dark, but don't stay too long, kasi ang lungkot, pwedeng kumain sayo.

To anyone that is reading this, please know that you are not suffering alone. Please, please remember na nakikita ka ni Lord, binigay niya yung problema kasi hindi mo kaya yan, para sa kanya ka dumipende, para siya lang ang tatakbuhan mo. That's what I realized.

Kakayanin natin to. Tatagan pa natin ang loob natin, there's a light waiting for us.

Everyday I struggle having slow or interrupted internet connection, that's why I'm used to being disconnected in class meetings/discussions and my classmates and friends are also "sanay" because it happens to me so often.

On this day, the first day of YFC ICON 2021,
NO INTERRUPTION. NO SLOW INTERNET. SMOOTH CONNECTION. ✨ And I lately realized that I'm so much grateful for the gift of technology that made this year's ICON possible 🙌🏻

My Awestruck moment was one of the kind where it was the hardest decision i thought through. And through God gave me that silverlinings in life which made me still choose on living instead of ending it. Being part of YFC gave me a chance to see through what is good and thankfully i survived that struggle and i thank all my friends who been there for me. The times i wanted it all to end. Having that moment makes me see through life suddenly like a quick flash on what would i lose when i ended it. Thank God gave me a chance to live again and have a reason to fullfill why should i continue living.

Today is the day 12 of my isolation and 4 days after my lola passed.
I am isolated 'cause I tested positive in covid 19 and my lola died because of it.
Lately, life has been blurred for me. I came to a point where I ask God why I am here in this situation. But God is just soooo great, that despite those struggles, still, here I am praising Him and Him, continuosly loving me. My life has been in darkness now but I will never ever gonna stop praising Him always in all ways 😊

Hello Brothers and Sisters! Truly God is Amazing for he had given us strength and hope that we will overcome all the things that we our experiencing today.

We are all blessed by his grace. And today, I've experienced his presence again. I'm currently isolated for I have been tested Positive in Antigen test. While waiting for the Swab test, I prayed and prayed to get a Negative result for I have a family that is waiting for me to come home. I lifted up all to him today while I'm worshipping here on my dorm. Whatever the result, I know he has reasons.

And Praise God, I got negative result. Truly God is AWEmazing for he will always with us.

We are all blessed by his grace.

I cannot say that I enjoyed whole first day of ICON because nahati oras ko. I didn't expect that may darating na schoolworks kaya di ko masyadong naenjoy ang whole first day. Pero masasabi kong masaya dahil ng panoodin ko ang LiveStream of Opening Worship and ng ipagtugtog ang YFC songs bigla akong kumalma dahil frustrated na ko sa sinasagutan ko na Math, yung litong-lito na ko kung paano sisimulan but when I hear YFC songs kumalma ako at agad gumana ng matino utak ko. And natapos ko siya, the least I expected akala ko aabutin pa ko ng bukas bago matapos. GOD REALLY DO AMAZING THINGS NA HINDI KO INAAKALA NA KAHIT DI AKO GANUN NAKAPAGPARTICIPATE SA 1ST DAY AY GINUIDE NIYA PA RIN AKO SA GINAGAWA KO. GOD IS REALLY AMAZING AND AWESOME. Hello Brothers and Sisters!
I just want to share on how god showed me the love that he gives us every day. To make it short I am now part of our sector which is I am really proud of since I will showcase my talent and help other people in the challenges that they are experiencing. As one person ask me what is your role in your community I told her that I am part of our sector and I am a householdhead in our cluster and in yfc campus based. And that person always says that "Grabe puso mo talaga to serve" Which is true. In that line I told myself that I really want to feel the love of god and I don't want to lose him as my savior also I don't want to be apart in this community because they helped me to know god and change my life. That's why brothers and sisters always be thankful for the blessings that god has given you because even if it's hard he knows you can do it.

This pandemic brought me too much hardships, and failures. But i was amazed by how God loves me for despite of the things i did, the mistakes i've done, and how imperfect i am, he was still there, blessed and guide me for every decisions and actions that i made. Despite of how negativity my thoughts had, how abusive i am to his creation, and how i am being embarrassed of myself. He still let me take the good path, he still send angels for me to be awaken by the truth and that angels were the CFC-YFC community. My life was a mess not until God introduce me CFC-YFC community. Lots of Realizations came, and me being grateful for the great love i have recieved from everything and from him. I was really awestruck of the goodness of the Lord. It is my first ever ICON, and i am determined to take this path more over, and this makes me wanted to reach out to him more.

Hi ahm i just want to share my experience nung 1st camp ko, g7 ako non. Me and my friends join the camp eventhough wala kaming idea sa mangyayari. We just want to explore kasii mahilig kami sa mga adventures lalo na nung nalaman namin kung saan magaganap yung camp. At first hindi ako sigurado kung sasama ako kasi 3 days and 2 nights yon pero chz pinilit ko talaga si mama kasi i also want to experience it. 1st day of camp nakilala ko nga ates and kuyas namin also the participants. Nakabuo kami ng "tropa or squad" as in ang solid ng bond namin. 2nd day maraming nag talk/nag share abt sa journey nila as YFC then nasabi ko sa sarili ko "Self tama to na sumali ka talaga, tama to kasi magbabago pananaw mo sa buhay, tama to kasi hindi ka lang nagkaron ng kakilala nagkaron ka pa ng kapamilya". 3rd day, aaaaaack my favorite part hindi dahil patapos or uwian na pero yung last na ginawa sobrang nakakatuwa kasi napalapit ako sa mama ko, nasabi ko lahat lahat. Naging totoo ako, nawala lahat ng bigat na dinadala ko. I must say, being YFC is the best, i have the best family, friends, and so on. Nagkaron rin ako ng malakas na paniniwala. 4 yrs of being YFC marami akong natutunan, nag grow ako as a person, nag grow ako as individual, as a daughter, as a friend, as classmate and most specifically ay a believer and a follower. Thankyou sa Girl Scout sa school kasi sila nag invite samin HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Maraming nagbago, maraming naging totoo.

This has been my first ICON. Though it happened online on virtual platforms, still, it made me AWEstruck. This only proves that His love, His presence and borderless and unbothered.

Joining here is a miracle for me. I've been running away from His presence for a no particular reason after serving Him for a couple of years. In that moment, there's always been a void in my heart. But for those days I thought that I am away from him, no matter how far I've gone to walk away , He always finds a way to reach out to me. He never left me even if I turned my back on Him. Hello friends! A sister from Mindanao here.
My family especially my lola have always been serving to God. She has been teaching me throughout my years but I never took it seriously. Maybe its because of some issues and misunderstandings between my family, or maybe because I was too young and naive back then HAHAHAHA. But today is different now, ever since I became a part of YFC, I finally get to understand more about God, but I'm still naive as I used to be and a total klutz HAHAHAHA. I get to try new activities and meet new friends. Today was my first ICON and I feel so blessed that I get to feel Gods presence again even via screen. I miss this feeling and I hope that todays event can help us to continue whatever we are doing in our journies.

tbh, the sudden changes, adjustments we need to work with, the pandemic itself have been so overwhelming. Few weeks ago, I'm loosing my sanity and I felt the need to give it all to Him, Thanks to this one friend who encourage me to join this year's ICON. God is really #AWEmazing, after contemplating Kuya Dabs task, He immediately answers my worries through the first song for the praisefest- "IN YOUR ARMS". I really felt that He is talking to me all throughout the session. I really am AWEstruck atm, despite this happened virtual, I still felt God's presence, the feeling of belongingness. Before this ICON, i was not that excited as i expect i would be.
Then again, God spoke to me through the 1st session.
When the sharer said, "Why do i have to feel all these things growing up?" made me awestruck again. I felt alive again. I felt validated. I am not alone.
Because it is just so hard to start experiencing so much pain in your childhood. It affects how you live your life.
I hope that no matter how cruel the demons of your past is, please, don't let it transform you to who you are not. Be patient with your wounds. It hurts, but it will heal.

Akala ko ngayong taon na yung pagbangon ko. 2020 na paulit ulit ulit. Nagsasawa na ko Lord. Maraming beses at palagi gusto ko na sumuko. Magic ata na tumagal ako at natiis ko ang isang buong taon. Napakasakit Lord. Ni hindi ko na kilala sarili ko. Sa taong nagtagal, naliligaw ako sa paulit ulit na mundo. Walang patutunguhan. Pero salamat na rin at naniwala pa rin ako. I've attended a lot of Icon in my 8 years in YFC, but I think this Icon is one of the best for me. I'm literally in awe on our moments on how the Lord called us at our own home like washing the dishes while listening to sessions, or cooking while in the middle of youth festival haha but the Lord remained constant in loving us :)

Lately, grabe lang talaga yung spiritual dryness ko and truly, God is so great. In just a day, first day ng ICON 2021, nabigyan nya na agad ako ng sagot. The answer I needed for my doubts. Once again, He made me realize na kahit mapalayo man ako sa kanya, He will always be my Family, my Home and my Refuge. Kahit gaano pa ako katagal mawala sa landas, siya padin ang hangganan ko.

At first, I thought I was feeling better, but I have been experiencing anxiety attacks and breakdowns. 2020 was really a tough year for all of us, and I thought I will get through this situation without experiencing breakdowns since I've been known as someone who is cheerful and will find ways to solve problems. To be honest, it is very difficult to improve myself, to understand my surroundings and more, given that I also encountered various personal problems.

Focusing on this year, I started to have self-reflections as part of my healing process and growth. I often think of how perfect is God's timing. My plans don't go as expected since God knows what is best for me.

Through this ICON, I was able to feel more of God's love and His presence even if the event was done virtually. Thank you for making me feel that I am worth it, na hindi ako sayang. Now, I'll indeed trust in the process and allow God to work for me because I know His plans are waaaaaaay better than mine.

Thanks be to God for giving me a chance to experience ICON. I have met new faces yesterday and today, it was a very fun and unique experience for someone like me who’s in the middle east! I, too, experienced having a relationship and did not tell my parents. When our relationship was about to end, that was the only time I had the courage to open up to them. It was my first ever serious relationship, without the guidance and blessing of my parents. I was very immature and that person has caused a great damage in me. Moreover, that was during the time I still have not realized I was having extreme anxieties for the first time. I did not know what to do and became dependent on him. However, after all of what happened, yes, my wrong decisions allowed me to have a stronger relationship with my parents. I am thankful because God truly has His ways. The timing is perfect! I just cannot find the words to perfectly describe how I feel but God’s timing is perfect. I will realize a lot more in the future about the purpose of why all of these happened and will surely continue to grow in God.

Eventhough ICON 2021 was conducted virtually, I really felt the presence of our dear brothers and sisters. Truly it was an AWEmazing experience seeing my co-youth coming together in worshipping and glorifying the Lord. Thus, I can't imagine that I would be able to connect with different people. All have really come into place when there's God by our side. The pandemic was just a hindrance but it will never stop our faith for Him. I'm really glad that I was able to attend this year's ICON, though I have school works to be done and classes during those hours, I managed to engage in it to for my spiritual nourishment that really helped my mental state in this time. Thankful for all the people behind this event. Hope God blesses you even more. 🥰 🥰

Super drain ako spiritually, mentally and emotionally kasi parang ang hirap magkeep up sa lahat ng nangyayari but this conference reminded me on my mission, as a YFC and my faith as well. This event reminded me na dapat sa panahon na kagaya nito, mas kumakapit ako at hindi bumibitaw kasi habang naglelevel up ang faith, level up din ang challenges. :) & the song, HOME. Grabe. This YFC ICON 2021, become the answer of the Lord for me. He reminded me no matter what happen or any circumstances - He loves me. Things will be going to be hard, sad and breathtaking, but my heart will be at peace because He assured me He will always and forever with me. What lies ahead is uncertain, but each day I will pray and desire to follow Christ. Knowing and believing that God will lead me to the promised land. It was a great experience joining thousands of YFCs online but sad that we aren't able to do it personally. I hope and pray that all of us was able to experience God's love, grace and abundance for this ICON 2021. Truly, ICON is home. Days before ICON, I was so exhausted, drained, and tired because of so much responsibilities I have being delegation head of our province, fixing and answering questions by youth heads and a lot more. But I realised, one thing is for sure the Lord set me here for Greatness because He is Great. I was reminded of how my YES become one of a kind- a YES of how the Lord mold to be a better person. May all the plans of the Lord be with us & let's be excited of how the Lord joins us with our journey. For that, may God be praised!

This is my 1st Icon Experience and I must say that it exceeded my expectations. At first, I was expecting normal worship and praise for God but I also encountered new friends which God gave me. I also learned alot of lessons from our workshops and from our speakers. I am amazed by God because he touched many people for us to be in ICON 2021. Simulan ko na lang nung malapit nang matapos, when #YFCIcon2021 is about to end, a leader said that after this event our mission is just starting. I am now asking myself, what can I do? What can I do now? Because I have to do something. The awe moments, realizations and lessons must not be forgotten or burried but will remain and be recalled again and again.

What remained in me, without looking at my notes, is when Jesus said "Do not be afraid". It is said a lot of times on the two-day activity and it REALLY HIT me because deep inside I am really scared and a worrier. BUT GOD AFFIRMED AGAIN AND AGAIN, that He is a great, all-knowing, all-powerful, gracious, faithful God. WHY FEAR AND WORRY?

So, going back to my question, "What can I do now?" I have to be brave in my personal crossover. It won't be easy but I have to try Kuya Jep, said that "Crossover is not just about turning back from our old ways or conquering our fears but it may also mean embracing the things that are unfamiliar to us for God's greater glory."

And now, all the fears that I've written don't scare me that much. Because Christ is alive, and He is with me.

I can still remember a day before the conference. My sister just got home from work and did send a link for an encoder job. I did checked it and looks like it was legit. So I joined the group..

On the ICON day 1, I learned how to socialize online since I'm really introvert in interacting. But it's for the conference and it's always fun meeting new and old YFC friends.

Day 2, I'm in Above & Beyond workshop. Kuya Ace talked about saving money for the future.
PS. I can't really save money or buy a thing with my money since I'm the one paying for our internet bill at home and my employer is not paying me well. She just pay me every 2 months and it's sad because I can't pay the bill every month. My parents are getting mad at me and I can't answer them well about it.

Back to the encoder job, I visited their page and saw a lot of users improvements in that online job. Some on 30,000-40,000 a day income. So I decided to join the live so I can know what to do about it.
I just pray it's really good and not pressured like job.

Really, Lord is the one helping. Saving money is hard with low income like me.

Isa ako sa mga taong pagod na at gusto ng sumuko pero patuloy parin akong ginagabayan ni Lord, patuloy niya parin akong binibigyan ng lakas at araw araw niya paring nireremind sakin na "may plano ako para sayo kaya kapit ka lang, nandito ako." Sa bawat breakouts ko andyan yung presence niya para patahanin ako. Makasalanan akong tao, may mga bagay na ayaw niyang gawin ko pero hinuhubog niya parin yung pagkatao ko dahil binibigyan niya ako ng maraming pagkakataon para bumalik sa kanya na mag crossover sa kanya. Sobrang saya sa presensya nya, tipong maiiyak ka nalang ulit pero sa tuwa kase alam mong may plano siya. And sharing you my favorite bible verse that my bfriend allows me to reflect upon.

Noong nakasali ako sa scholarship ng YFC sobrang saya ko as in grade 6 ako nong nalaman ko and talagang nagpapasalamat ako Kay God sa mga blessings na binibigay nya.

And Yun Nga Po noong 2018 nakasama ako sa YFC sa Ifugao Ang ganda don, syempre kasama ko Yung mga YFC din. May mga nakilala ako ambabait nila super. And nagworship kami Kay God hanngang 11 ata Yun. And Yun Nga thankful ako Kay God kac may mga nakilala nanaman along ibang Tao. And naging friends ko Rin sila..

When in the morning in the 1st day of ICON I was so excited because I don't know what will happen. I have learned alot in our worshop, hangout, and session and I have realize many things. I even enjoy in our worship songs and I love every songs and I even download all of the songs. I also enjoy in our youth festival and praisefest. This is my 1st time attending in ICON, thanks God because I am part of this ICON and I will not forget this moment even it is online. Thank you for all the sharers and to the leaders. I really appreciate you all. I am very happy and I am very awestruck in every part of this ICON especially in my favorite part the morning and evening worship and in the part of our worshop. For 4 straight years of ICON Experience, It's really happy that I participated ICON outside as well as I participated on Social Actions. Last year, It was unfortunately cancelled, due to the global Pandemic, at least it held the YES2020 online (in my opinion, it was probably an "ICON" event, ONLINE as payback on the cancelled event). Now It's ICON 2021, I made new friends from the hangouts, enjoyable workshops and sessions, and worship God. I hope everything will be back to normal with new life in the next ICON.

It's probably less fun than having an ICON that is face-to-face but so far, everything was on point! We really felt God's presence through all the virtual worshipping. Even though we couldn't do a face-to-face ICON, God still made it possible for all of us to worship him through virtual communicating. No obstacle can stop God's love for us. God is stronger than COVID 19. #GodisAwesome !

I thought I would only be able to be part of this year's ICON as a participant pero may pa-plot twist pala si Lord! Salamat, Lord, for calling me to serve You in this historic, first ever virtual International Conference as an HO director. Salamat din sa mga nakasama ko sa Hangouts 11 and sa mga nasa Kaleidoscope workshop!

We may be in the midst of a huge crisis but just like what God always tells us through the scriptures and through His revelations, ONWARD WITHOUT FEAR. May we always depend on Him. I believe more disheartening crises will come in the near future to test us but ALWAYS CHOOSE CHRIST'S SIDE. Do not be deceived by the worldly lures and ideologies. Seek the Blessed Mother's protection. Let us pray the Rosary to conquer the world! If we claim to be youth for Christ, let us prove it. Hindi natatapos ang pagiging YFC sa mga gatherings at sa ICON. Receive the sacraments and tell people to unite for God. Above all, love. ;)

Hello, Ezekiel 'Zech Kiel Josh" from Cebu!
ICON 2021 is my second international conference that I have attended.
Knowing that it is in the time of pandemic, I really appreciate the people who
made this event takes place.

The essence of the ICON is to engage God more, boosting our own faiths and enlightening our paths.
In our journey towards life in YFC, HE is always there.

Makamingaw lang jd ang hangouts and workshoops where maka meet tag new friends. Knowing each other that we live in different places, appreciating one's existence. The best talaga ito! Kudos to all YFC out there, till me meet again. <3

From the beginning, I have always wondered why this year's ICon was entitled Awestruck. But as I was sailing through the sea of God, with these amazing people all over the world, I was awakened, I was blessed by God to be brought to realization.

Awestruck, God's love for us is awestruck. It is unexpected, throughout the sins that we have committed, his love for us never faded. He kept us, he saved us. He left us in awe with his amazing love and blessings. Awestruck, worshipping him is fun and amazing. It was entitled Awestruck for our journey with him, with our rita's and tito's, our brothers and sisters, will be unforgettable, will always be remembered.

We've learnt a lot of things, from the opening, from the worships, sessions and talks, from the workshop, from our brothers and sisters, and all. The fun left us a hangover, a hangover of joy. But most importantly, we learned that God has loved us from the beginning, that we completed his creations, and he will be with us until our next creation.

Our God is AWEsome, our is AWESTRUCK!

This years ICon was indeed AWESTRUCK! I was so favored to be registered for free thanks to my AWEsome cousin! And I thought that was that, I’m registered! I was already happy with that. Little did I know, the Lord has more in store for me this ICon! Turned out, He doesn’t want me to be a participant anymore but to be part of His manpower for this event! From a non YFC in Solid Ground to a service team in Awestruck! And so I was like AWEEEE! Grabe ka Lord, iba Ka! Then tasks came in and I became busy... but truly the Lord is soooo AWEmazing for blessing me with my ever supportive and understanding family, friends and people in the community! They made things easier and happier despite of the tiring moments and sleepless nights which made me feel like I was truly serving the Lord with them 🤗 And still... it didn’t end there! The Lord allowed me to have a meaningful ICon celebration of Mass with my mother physically! Answered prayer 🙏 😍! Grabe si Lord, yung puso ko! Super AWESTRUCK talaga ng ICon ngayon! From Hangouts (sharawt Hangouts 11!) to Sessions, Workshops, Worships, Competitions, Mass Celebrations, A Love Like This and Social Interactions! Ramdam na ramdam ko pa din yung ICon feels! Trulyyy nothing can ever stop us from His love! No circumstances can separate humanity from Jesus Christ!!! Damang dama ang Easter with the Easter people! What an AWESTRUCK historical event it is! ALL PRAISES AND THANKSGIVING TO THE KING MOST HIGH! AWEEEEEEEE!!!

It was such an amazing experience to be with 9k participants all over the world sa ICON 2021 na ito! Tunay ngang our God is AWEsome talagaaa! If you're reading this, sana nakita mo na ang happiness mo kay Lord. And thank youuu rin pala sa hangout peeps ko huhu for praying. Hoping for ICON f2f to meet you all! Specially ikaw hahahaha ang daya mo eh.
