Jack and Annie go to the Mountains of Africa and meet some frightening Gorillas. However, throughout the book Jack and Annie make friends with a baby gorilla who shows them that Gorillas are not as frightening as they seem. They learn a lot about Gorilla's like where they eat, sleep, live, and play.

Jack and Annie travel back to Camelot to help Merlin get the duke's castle back to normal. The castle is haunted and doors are shutting by themselves and objects are flying around when no-one is there. Jack and Annie have to use their special skills as master Librarians and Magicians of Everyday Magic to help restore the order of the castle!
