This war was about the preservation of land. The French wanted to save the land so that they could hunt for otters. The British wanted to use the land to expand the colonies. The American Indians sided with the French in an effort to save the land. The British colonies ended up winning and they got the land.

This event contributed to the revolution because it resulted in taxation on the colonies. The war was costly for England and they had to tax the colonies to help pay for it.
