This site is a wonderful reference to have that helps me as a teacher in the arts to think of some inquiry-based questions to have the students try and answer, and how you can structure your phrasing to have the students start coming up with their own questions for inquiry.

You can have a lesson on theatrical concept and how a concept helps answer the questions concerning the design side of a production. Then break the class into different groups and have those group learn more about how a concept affects them (costume, lighting, set, props, ect) and then have each group teach the rest of the class how concept can answer any questions they have.

Students can reach out to their local community theatres or professional theatres if they are open and ask if there are any opportunities to help with an upcoming production. This will allow the students to get out into the community and see what is involved with putting on a production while at the same time helping a production get put on.
