I remember learning to read in Spanish by singing along a song called, "Brinca La Tablita." This song integrates reading and math times tables. I first started school in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. This is when I first discovered Serial Reading! I read many books by Dean Knoots such as, Strangers, Watchers and Lightning. Then I got a little scared and changed to reading other authors such as, Lois Duncan. I didn't know it at the time but Suspense was my favorite thriller genre. This is when I really went full force with reading. I found out that I could be the top reading through my school A.R. program. This is when I met my first ever "Best Friend."
