The MAP Growth Assessment is administered three times a year and is used as a tool to determine how students will perform on state testing at the end of the year.  

Concept Mapping provides an observable action of the student’s patterns of understanding related to a central idea or concept. Concept maps begin with a main idea and then branch out to show how that main idea can be broken down into specific topics.

The 3-2-1 Format is a quick reflective activity that encourages students to reflect on a course experience and organize their thoughts and identify areas of confusion or concern.

Driver's License Exams are a pass/fail exam that have important consequences for the student.

Chapter Tests are common assessments that are administered to students throughout the school year to monitor growth and achievement according to specific learning goals and academic standards.

The SBAC is a standards-aligned assessment that measures student progress in grades 3-8 towards success in college and career readiness.

The KTEA offers a pattern analyses of errors or individual strengths and weaknesses to facilitate intervention planning based on age or grade equivalents.

Student Portfolios allow demonstration of practical applications of knowledge and skills and act as a self-evaluation tool for the student.

The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States.

Final Projects occur at the end of a unit and cover the entirety of the material from that term. Final projects evaluate student learning, skill acquisition, and academic achievement at the conclusion of a unit.

Exit Tickets are given at the conclusion of instruction and act as a way to gather information about how well students processed the information taught.

Peer Review provides a structured learning process for students to critique and provide feedback to each other on their work. It helps students develop lifelong skills in assessing and providing feedback to others, and also equips them with skills to self-assess and improve their own work.

The CORE Phonics Survey is a detailed assessment that diagnosis a student's phonics skills. It outlines areas in which the student is likely to benefit most from systematic, explicit phonics instruction.

Performance Tasks can be created by teams that include members from each unit. A scale or benchmark established by the team is used to evaluate student knowledge.

The Woodcock Johnson compares a student's knowledge to that of a predetermined standard, cut score, or other criterion.

The ACT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions.

Self-Evaluations occur when learners assess their own performance in order to evaluate their understanding of concepts taught and monitor their skill development.

Exit Tickets are used at the end of a lesson in order to evaluate the progress and comprehension skills of their individual students at the end of the lesson.
