Stefanie's response: I usually keep notes about my lessons on post its or in the lesson file. I can see using tech and making a spread sheet. I can have the kids reflect on their learning first w/post -its, so they learn the language of reflection and then towards the later half of the year they can use the chrome books.

Technology can help drive our own assessment by giving us information about how our students are responding to the instruction we are providing. I appreciate that when we reflect and honor that all students appreciate and respond differently to what experiences we provide them! Giving them an opportunity to express these preferences is so vital!

Reflecting on our use of technology is important. I don't want to make poor choices. Sometimes you just have to try things to learn. I ask I ask myself if there is student engagement, and learning, am I learning, I am also concerned if it is requiring me more work. I haven't thought of having my students reflect on their technology preferences. Padlet for student reading reflection, I don't have to mess with paper and other students can see what their classmates are writing

Lindsay-I can use technology to drive my reflection and assessment by capturing students as they work with photos or screenshots. Students can use technology to demonstrate their understanding of the content and lesson as well as the new technology they're learning.

Technology can help drive our own reflection and assessment by having posts like this one to see first if they understood what was taught (or sometimes even if they were able to follow the instructions) and how to change or adjust the instruction to make things more clear.
For students... I am always inspired by other people's posts, and students can read other students ideas and use those to guide their own reflection.

Technology drives my own reflection because all of my self-created handouts and worksheets are on google docs. After a lesson, I can immediately go to my drive and change my product for future lessons or years. For students, I appreciate that on a medium like Padlet, more than one kid can " be the first" to answer so they can stay engaged instead of worrying about who gets credit for the answer.
