L seemed to be more of a mean person. Once the story progressed though she seemed to be really nice and fun. In the story, when Silas leaves and Miss. L comes in Bod doesn't seem to like her very much but once the story progresses and Bod gets kidnapped, Miss. L comes to help him and near the end of the section (Chapt 4) she teaches him about the stars.
