It was only 6 AM. I got out of the old bed, nearly tripping on the fox that I saved from a bear trap in the forest. He awoke with a startled yip. "Sorry," I said quietly, "want some food?" I asked. He got up fast and went to the door. "Hold on, let me get dressed." I said, trying not to sigh. As I put on my ripped jeans and a shirt that looked old. "AAHHHHH!!!" said a voice somewhere in the house. Me and the fox ran out of the tiny room, we went inside my evil step-mother's room, I screamed, seeing and looked at my feet, not finding the fox, I screamed again. I stopped, looking around, I was on the street. I looked ahead and saw him, fox was sitting on the other side of the road, sniffing something. I walked across the street, and looked at what he was sniffing. He was sniffing a hole. "FOX GET AWAY FROM THERE!" I yelled as he jumped into my hands as a snake came out of the hole. The fox bit my hand, making him turn into a human. My father and I knew there was magic in my blood, and only royals had magic in their blood.
