It's the first week of the new semester. What to say ah? It's kinda happy but also sad I think. Eh! I'm joking!. My first class was nicely welcomed by EDU555 class, facilitate by Mr. Furkan on Monday but unfortunately, I was not able to attend for the first class because I just went back from my hometown a day before, then I felt that I really need some more rest, actually! Laziness overdosed !. I asked my friends on what they have learnt during the class, then they said ; it was just the introduction of the course. They also added that, it will be lots of tasks waiting in the future because it has no final examination. The next day I went to class which was on Tuesday,then you know what? surprisingly, in a flowery rainy morning day, my lecturer did greet me  ; "Jobrey, where have you been yesterday". I think, that question can be marked as one of the HOTS questions of the semester. During the second class, Our lecturer, Mr. Furkan introduced us about the lesson plans. Then, the first task begin. Jeng jeng jeng !. Oh, no! my honeymoon has not ended yet!, but what to do. Students life though!. Before we proceed to do the task, Mr. Furkan explains in details what it should be in the lesson plans. He also explained that, it is compulsory for a teacher to prepare the lesson plans before entering the class. It's a guideline for the teacher to disperse the precise contents to the students. In teaching, there should be the objectives, success criteria, and many more to ease the teacher. Yeay! This is my second week of the semester. Praise the Lord, I am still healthy and happy as always. As always for the beginning of the weak, it always be my laziest day after hibernating for days from studying. 
Then happily in sadness, the next task was assign to us. Tadaaaaa!!!! (Drumroll), Presenting the article review. I like to do this task even though I do not like reading because it does not have to be like other tasks which I have to do lots of preparations. Plus, this is not a group work, then I can focus to find the appropriate title for the article review and do my works. At the moment, I have not found my article title yet and the rubric has been given to us. Our lecturer, Mr. Furkan also has explained what to be done. apart from that,during the second class, he further explained about the lesson plans. Fear overwhelm me because the lesson is seems hard for me after listening to the explanation. I do not think I have to look down on this task. I mean, Yes! every task given should be! but this time, I need to utilize more energy consumption on preparing this lesson plans because it will be used during my micro-teaching which carries quite a huge marks in this course. Yeah ! I think it was not just me who excited when it comes to no class on Monday. Everybody does, I guess,but I just have to be ready for any replacement class in the future, but let that hardship be on that day and let celebrate the one day holiday. 
I continue to sleep until 10 a.m, no I think it was 12.00 p.m though, but at the moment I woke up from my beauty sleep, my class whatsapp group is full with text. They are so excited to write their topic for micro-teaching. They did that to avoid overlapping topics. Then everybody is filling up their topic. Actually I want to pick a topic, but sadly, I still do not buy the book and still in consideration whether to take form 4, 5 biology subject or form 2, science subject. Then, I just told myself to choose any topic left that my classmates have not mentioned there. As I look they had lots of form 5 subject written there in the whatsapp group, but not too much, but it was quite a bridge for me to choose the topic I would to. Then I prefer to choose form 4 biology subject. 
Wish me luck to find all the reliable references especially the form 4 text book because I have not confirmed what topic will I choose because I need to scan through the book first then I can decide.

I had learnt about the qualities of effective teacher. Teacher should be prepared. Preparation is the most crucial part as a teacher. Along with this, I realize that why lesson plans were introduced to the teacher. In order for the teacher to be well prepared, they need to prepare the lesson plans as references on what to teach, how to do the set induction and many more. Other than that, I have also learned that teacher should not put a very high expectation on the students. Back in 7 years ago, while I was in secondary school. My teacher used to always expect his students scored high on his subject. It was not wrong to put the standard on the students, but to overly do it, it also makes it worse. It is better to think ways to teach students effectively rather than pressuring them. A part from that, there are also other characteristics of effective teachers such as positive, patient on students, assess their teaching on a regular basis and many more. 
On Tuesday,  Mr. Furkan should be having 3 hours class with us, but he got to go for other important matters. He concluded the class within 15 minutes, but , before he left the class, he did ask us about our set inductions?, how our lesson plan is going? and many more. He asked us to finish the left over works that he assigned last week. 
On this very charming week, gladly, I already decided my micro- teaching topic. I hope that I will not have thought to change the topic again. 
One more thing, My article review topic was approved after showing the title of the article together with the abstract for the second time because the first one was not approved. Horayy!! it's about time. I have to go for my dinner. I hope that I'll be starting up to find my micro- teaching contents soon. To be honest my laziness is starting to leveling up when it comes to Monday, Monday and Monday. I think next time I have to change my mindset about Monday. I have to put more affection, tenderness and sincerity to wake up on Monday and doing things. 
Yeay! It's week 5 . Time flies  ! lots of things I obtained this week. I've learned about Dynamic Interaction, Taba's Model, and Contemporary Model. What? What is all of this? Relax! After attending the class, no worries! 
Interaction or Dynamic Model is to overcome the Tyler's Model and proposed on dynamic process of curriculum development. Unlike Tyler's Model, Dynamic model can start at any elements but bare in mind that, when you change one of the elements, the others will follow. Next is about Taba's Model. Taba's model also known as a "Grass-root approach". It is a prominent model for curriculum development and widely used as a references. This model is a bit similar with the Tyler's Model, but the main difference is Taba's Model need to carry out a diagnosis of need first. Lastly, Contemporary Model which is also known as Framework of Curriculum Development. It is divided into 5 prominent stages which are need analysis, formulating objective, selecting and organizing content, implementing the curriculum, evaluating the curriculum. 
Fuh! done for the mass lecture.
Now, move on in the classroom. On Tuesday, we decided to do pick turns for our micro-teaching. Luckily, I am not the first and the last, but will be the 16th person to do the micro-teaching. 
This time, our lecturer focused more on the set induction. He did ask those who will be going to present first to read their set induction. Out of 5 persons, only one person got a positive remark and less comment from my lecturer. The rest? rejected. Not really rejected, but they need to construct other set induction that is more engaging. Mr. Furkan did ask other who wants to read their set induction. 
Once again!
Actually I did not completed my set induction like what he commanded last week. Then he called my name .
" Jobrey, you want to try yours"
I felt like " what should I do?". Then I decided to say "No". I don't want to try because my set induction was not fully completed. Only half of it was done because I think that set induction is quite difficult for me to be more creative and create those engaging ways to grab students attention. Plus, it is not as plausible as the others in the classroom. Then, I shy to read it out loud. Well! I am a shy person though. Hmmm Shy? Ok!

This week we require to organize the event as the previous semester. It's a great experience as always. Be in the Innovation part was really gleeful. I used to meet lots of innovative students with their well- prepared innovations, and presentation.
It's quite a hectic week for me because we need to prepare something good for the event. Everybody's participation and esprit de corps is one of the aspects that needed to be in us. 
Being able to rest after struggling for days is a bliss.

He' ll be taking part until the syllabus is done.  
This week I' ve learned about formative and summative evaluation. These 2 types of evaluation is different in many aspects. For instance, summative evaluation is conducted at the end of the program whereas formative evaluation is done after one course was finished, also at the end of the program but not at the end of the students studies. My explanation seems ambiguous. hmm! sokay then.
AND!
This week was the first week for the micro-teaching. (0.0)
Lots of things need to improve as our instructors did mention about those aspects such as the voice projections, and many more. 
Everybody who did their micro-teaching were awesome and stupendous. 
If I were there, I would be very nervous especially the first presenter. 
BUT they made it excellently and nicely. 
I'm a little bit grateful not being the first batch but quite afraid if I did the same mistakes that is not plausible during teaching in front of the students even though it has been told by our instructor.

It's week 8. Mid-sem breaks is just around the corner. Not really actually but it's okay to be happy earlier.
This week is quite a struggle. In the midst of preparing micro-teaching contents, I have to read 5 chapters and memorize it as the test was on Monday.
Doing revision on Sunday night also  one of the biggest challenges. 
Gladly, after the test. I made it. I am happy that I can answer all the questions even though the objective part was really confusing. yeay! the distractors really do it's work.
Other than that, the second batch for the micro-teaching has started their engine. BromMMM!!!! 
and wow! the second batch was good and kinda funny for me because one of my batchmates trying to be strict and it looks funny. 
They were ready for all their colorful teaching aids. 
and the most important thing is
some of them brought food for the students. Even though I know that after the mid-sem breaks, I'll be the fourth person presenting my micro-teaching. But first! Let me take a selfie! eh, no no!
But first, I want to relax because I've done almost 90% progress for my micro- teaching. 
Well ! This week, I just went to class and watch my friends presenting their micro- teaching. As usual, after they were done, our instructor will emphasize the do's and dont's, the strength and the weaknesses. This also could help me to reflect myself so that I will not do the same mistakes as they did. The advice is not solely for them but for the rest of the class as we'll be using it in the future.
Other than that, One thing I really remember during the mass lecture was about the aim of education in our country. The aim is to produce students with intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and physically balanced. I'm quite having a good memorization on this because I used to think that it's only about students intellect when it comes to education.
Seriously, my mind already hibernated as next week is holiday. Fuh! First, it because my micro-teaching was this week . Second, I was not able to see our instructor for the consultation. 
Actually, I was really afraid when standing in front of my friends but I just keep myself relax and smile!
The first thing that I really afraid was my set induction will bring disaster when our instructor started to give comments about our micro-teaching. I think that I'm quite satisfy with my micro-teaching. All the efforts that I've done were worth it. There are lots of things that I need to improve. I realized that I need to improve on my time management because I was in rush during the micro- teaching. Moreover, when my friend shows that it was 15 minutes, I thought that I can complete the activity and conclusion within 4 minutes as the activity is simple, and my conclusion is short.
But in the end, I was in a real struggle to run with the time to finish it. Gladly I am able to conclude before it exceeded the time given, but it was not really engaging and well-explained. ( Sob Sob).
The comments from my friends were great and I appreciate it all. 
Apart from that, I have learned about  the instructional objectives during the mass lecture. Instructional objectives help the students to have a clear visual about what they want to learn in the classroom. 
I also learned about ASSURE. This method is used to identify the students ability and what methods that they like while learning. This is a very useful knowledge especially those who will become educators in the future. By the way, This is the last mass lecture. 
And I hope that there will be no classes for the next 4 weeks on Monday because our instructor had mentioned that our micro- teaching will be held on Tuesday. It’s week 11. Today was the second last batch for the micro- teaching in our class. In Monday’s class, we were gathered together after 3 of my classmates presented their micro- teaching. The last person was presenting infront of 2 Bio groups ( A and B). 
In my own perspective, this week batch seems ready and prepare with their micro- teaching aid. Some of them quite good in explaining their topic but some of them tend to “lecturing” as they just read and re- explain what’s written there.
Apart from that, I do really like their voice projection. Even they were presenting in the lab ( big space and diffrent atmosphere from the usual classroom) but their voice still clear even though I was seated at the back ( my ideal place as always maybe).

Oh! This week we were only having one class as Tuesday was a public holiday.  

Last but not least, I was really happy because our micro - teaching sessions were finally done.

our instructor wants to make class for about 1:30 hours starting from 12pm. 
Fuh! Actually, I don’t want to skip the class because our instructor will ask me the next day and it makes me feel like dying finding the excuses.

& during this moment ! 

" The Course Design” were assigned to us . Hmm!!
After my friend told me that the course design alredy assigned to us. I felt tormented as I don’t even know what it’s all about. But! Sokay!!! I ask them later on. 

Other than that, this week was the last batch for our micro- teaching session and finally everyone has done their best on the given task. Well done everybody!

Before our instructor end the class, he did do what he always did after the presentations such as asking for the opinions from the floor. 

Proudly saying that, he was kind of happy and satisfied to every opinion given by my classmates . He did emphasize that we are starting to notice what should and should not be done during the micro- teaching.  Thank you sir for you unconditional guidance for us.

This week has a scary thing to do which surely will make my next next week suffer and going to be a sleepless week again.

Not really! . Actually, in the class, I had met my groupmates for the second time but thing is; yeayy! we haven’t found the appropriate topic for our course design.  The real dilemma between choosing about the disabilities and the natives. 
We have also discussed about the course information and content. 

I am the one who will be doing the financial part. Then, the thing which makes it harder was how to gain income and how I am going to manage the financial in order to be benefits to our company.

It’s 5.30 p.m,then I went home earlier. Actually, Last week we want to meet our instructor but the class was dragged until we unable to manage the time to see our instructor.

Then, after I am home! 
My friend texted me that, she just came back from seeing our instructor. Oh Gosh! it already 7:30p.m but sadly I was not there because I am a non- resident . Plus, they did not tell to see our instructor for today. It was an emergency decision they made without me. It’s okay as long as they get the title for the course design was okay.

We were having only Monday class for this week where it conducted at 10am -12 pm .
Today class is quite emotional because some of my friends express and reflect what they had gained from the course. Some of them did relate that they’ll become good teacher in the future.

But before that, our instructor did explain back about the course design until we fully understand about the task given.

The quote that I remember is “ If you fall, then bounce back really high” . I like that motivational quote shared by our instructor. he did advice us, wish us luck in our final examination and apologies any of his faults.

We did have a photography session after the class.

& Now! Time to finish the course design as next week will be the study week and I’m home.
