Raising teacher salaries

Being a teacher is a really important and tough job, I mean think about it you have to grade all these papers, keep up with tons of kids, planning lessons etc. But did you know that teachers salaries are pretty low. Teachers deserve a whole lot more because their really helping you out and without them you wouldn't know how to read, how to write, would not understand math and would not know about our history. Getting teachers a high salary would increase the amount of teachers we have which will allow kids a better chance of getting an education. According to USA Facts Teachers in the US are paid less than a worker who works full-time, and have also had wage decline for over a decade.

Education Lottery for Alabama

I think a Education lottery for Alabama would be very beneficial for our state because a part of the money you win goes to college funds which helps out a lot of people. According to the Georgia Lottery Corporation, this corporation works to raise money towards educational funds particularly towards Pre-K program and the HOPE scholarship. If Alabama has a lottery as well then we can raise money for educational things which would help a lot of kids in the state. Vote for me and I will work to get us an Education Lottery.

Deforestation

Deforestation has become a very big problem across the United States, humans are cutting billions of trees down a year. This is really bad for our environment because animals are loosing their habitats which can leader to danger. Also trees produce a lot of the oxygen on earth and if we continue to chop them down then their will be less oxygen. According to Global Forest Watch Alabama has lost 7.78 million acres of tree cover since 2021. If Alabama works to stop deforestation then this can save a ton of animals habitats and help our environment. Vote for me and I will work to speak up against deforestation.

I chose the books to represent teachers because one of the things I want to change is raising teacher salaries. I put the circle around everything because my name starts with an O. It is representing that I will be focused on everything and solving any problems and coming up with ideas to make our state better. I used my name and what I am running for so people know that I want to win, and that I want to be on the State Board of Education. I chose to have a colorful logo to represent a happy feeling and not like and intimidating appeal.

My slogan is "I got your back!" I chose this because it is saying how if you ever have a problem don't worry, I can help. One of my issues is deforestation, since people are cutting down these trees. Due to this animals are losing their habitats, I am here to help, I got their back. The meaning of this slogan is if their is a problem that you can't fix alone then I got your back. I can always be there to lend a helping hand.

Hi I'm Olivia Gentry and I am running for State Board of Education. I would be the best candidate because I care about everyone around me and I am ready to take action whenever needed. I've been told many times that I am hard working and I believe thats a very important and strong characteristic. Some things that I care very much about is getting teachers higher salaries. They deserve much more and if teacher get higher pay then maybe more people would take interest in being a teacher and then more kids can get a better education. Also I think we need an education lottery in Alabama, every 95 cents of every dollar goes towards public schools which can help a lot of kids out. Lastly deforestation, Alabama is cutting down tons of trees across the state and animals are losing their habitats. We need to take action fast and if you vote me for state board of education, I can help you, I got your back!
