Do you have any part-time job?&nbsp;</p><p>Ya. Serving dishes to the customers. Saizeriya, it is very good you should go and try&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>5. What do you like to do during your free time?&nbsp;</p><p>Usually I would just stay at home, watch YouTube, switch on air conditioner, lay on my bed. Mostly I watch videos instead of playing games like clash of clans videos&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>6. What do you want to pursue after graduating from SP?&nbsp;</p><p>If can I would want to pursue a degree, if not&nbsp; I would find something else to do, like most probably working after my National Service.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>7. Are you planning to further your studies in university?&nbsp;</p><p>Ya, I have the plan but if I can or not is another topic. But if I have the opportunity yes I would love to.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>8. What motivates/would motivate you to lead a healthier lifestyle?&nbsp;</p><p>It is simple, it is because I play sports, so I would like to maintain my stamina, so I would go for a run 2-3 times a week. Other than running I also do some strength training .&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>9. Are you experiencing any stress in your daily life?&nbsp;</p><p>Not much stress actually cause I am a happy person. I can manage my time well with the thing I want to do like my studies and sports.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>10. What do you think can encourage you to develop healthier eating habits&nbsp;</p><p>Actually, I am not too sure. I don’t think anything can help me develop a healthy eating lifestyle it is because I psycho myself that I exercise most of the days thus I would reward myself abit like eating KFC, Texas chicken, MacDonalds, Bakuteh.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>11. What factors do you consider when you choose what you want to eat.&nbsp;</p><p>Of course, price is the first thing that I would consider. Secondly it depends on the day I’m craving for something like chicken rice of course I will go for chicken rice. If I am craving for some western then I shall go for it but if it is too expensive I would consider something else.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>12. Under what circumstances would you consider skipping meals?&nbsp;</p><p>I would say like when there are times where I have something to do, example this morning I have to rush to school despite saying that I have good time management but waking up early is not something for me so I will skip my breakfast and wait for lunch then I would eat. That’s the only circumstances where I would skip my meals but when exam days I wont skip my meals.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>13. Do you overeat when you are stressed&nbsp;</p><p>I don’t think so because I am not a stress eater.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>14. Is there any food that you look forward to eating when you are in school?&nbsp;</p><p>Definitely the food court 1 waffles and Takoyaki. Although it is considered as snack it can keep me full for the day.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>15. What bothers you when you consume your meals.&nbsp;</p><p>Nothing, I don’t have any restrictions or anything. I can eat anything I want&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>16. Do you have any goals you aim to achieve using your diet?&nbsp;</p><p>Perhaps like more protein intake because I am a little small/skinny. My goal is to be like my friend in this class because he is muscular and I aim to have a body figure like his.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>17. Where do you usually go to for lunch&nbsp;</p><p>Depends, if in school i would normally go to FC4 cause near to my class. If I am at home I would go to the coffee shop underneath my block. Somewhere nearby.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>18. How often do you eat breakfast either in school or at home?&nbsp;</p><p>As I mention just now, usually I don’t eat my breakfast because I don’t wake up early so it will be pushed to my lunch time.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>19. What do you usually eat for breakfast?&nbsp;</p><p>If I wake up early I would go for cereal because it is nice and convenient to make also.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>20. If you buy snacks, what do you usually eat?&nbsp;</p><p>Takoyaki because there is meat inside and it helps to keep me full. Also it is because the auntie is very nice so she tend to give me a lot of the Takoyaki flakes.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>21. Who do you usually have your meals with?&nbsp;</p><p>Depends. If I am at school I would go with my classmates. If I am not at school I tend to eat alone.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>22. Do you have any diet restrictions?&nbsp;</p><p>NO.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>23. How do you think your diet affects you?&nbsp;</p><p>I don’t really think that my diet affects me that much.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>24. Have you ever tried to make changes to your diet and eating habits? If so, what motivated you to do so?&nbsp;</p><p>I did tried once. For a period of time i tried not to drink sweet drinks. I try to drink plain water because I wanted to feel healthier. In fact, it does help me to reduce the intake of sweet drinks. I tend to feel full when I drink plain water than sweet drinks.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>25. If they are, I usually play games with them on my laptop. If not, then typically I spend my free time playing mobile games or watching videos on Youtube.&nbsp;</p><p>What do you want to pursue after graduating from SP?&nbsp;</p><p>Most likely something still related to food science, I haven't quite planned it out yet.&nbsp;</p><p>Are you planning to further your studies in university?&nbsp;</p><p>I would like to if possible.&nbsp;</p><p>What motivates/would motivate you to lead a healthier lifestyle?&nbsp;</p><p>Hm...currently, I would say the main issue is that there aren't really any sports or exercise activities I'm interested in, so it's a bit difficult for me to start and maintain a more active lifestyle. I guess if I found some sports I was interested in I would be more motivated to lead a healthier lifestyle. Either that or if my health suddenly takes a turn for the worse, so.&nbsp;</p><p>Are you experiencing any stress in your daily life?&nbsp;</p><p>Uh...I mean, its just the usual stresses. Managing homework and group projects, worrying about tests, planning my schedule, nothing too out of the ordinary.&nbsp;</p><p>What do you think can encourage you to develop healthier eating habits&nbsp;</p><p>That's tough. I think maybe something that makes tracking daily calories more accessible or more interesting could help. Hm...I wanted to try keeping track of my meals before, but the process looked confusing so I pretty much gave up.&nbsp;</p><p>What factors do you consider when you choose what you want to eat.&nbsp;</p><p>Usually I just go with whatever I feel like eating at the moment.&nbsp;</p><p>Under what circumstances would you consider skipping meals?&nbsp;</p><p>Sometimes I don't really feel that hungry during lunch, I guess it's a habit that started during secondary school. Back then my classroom was on like the 6th floor and the canteen was on the 2nd, and I didn't really want to climb up and down the stairs every time, so I just started staying in class more often.&nbsp;</p><p>Do you overeat when you are stressed?&nbsp;</p><p>Sometimes. Usually closer to exams I grab snacks pretty regularly.&nbsp;</p><p>Is there any food that you look forward to eating when you are in school?&nbsp;</p><p>Not particularly? The food is not bad but there isn't anything that stands out to me that I recall.&nbsp;</p><p>What bothers you when you consume your meals.&nbsp;</p><p>Hm...not much, but usually I prefer somewhere with air-conditioning.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Do you have any goals you aim to achieve using your diet?&nbsp;</p><p>I guess if its possible I'd like to lose a bit of weight.&nbsp;</p><p>Where do you usually go to for lunch?&nbsp;</p><p>Depends. Maybe lie down, or watch TV, or spend time with my family and friends, and do yoga a bit.&nbsp;</p><p>What do you want to pursue after graduating from SP?&nbsp;</p><p>Uhm – My dream – I mean my goal is to pursue a degree in NUS in Food Science and Technology, but uhm – it's difficult, but I am working towards it.&nbsp;</p><p>Are you planning to further your studies in university?&nbsp;</p><p>Yea – uh – my dream university is NUS, but I'm also looking out to other universities.&nbsp;</p><p>What motivates or would motivate you to lead a healthier lifestyle?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Uhm – I think the main motivation – not to say motivation is like when I fall sick, then – then I really appreciate how valuable a truly healthy lifestyle is.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Are you experiencing any stress in your daily life?&nbsp;</p><p>Yes, a lot of stress every day.&nbsp;</p><p>What do you think can encourage you to develop healthier eating habits?&nbsp;</p><p>Mmm – for me personally, I would say I am a picky eater, so when I – like uhm – when I look at my plate, and I feel like everything looks the same colour, I wouldn't want to eat it. So, uhm I would say like the presentation of food really makes a huge difference in me trying to eat – eat healthy.&nbsp;</p><p>What factors do you consider when you choose what you want to eat?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Uhm first of all, definitely the price, cause if it is too expensive I can't afford. And then, I would uhm – ask some of my friends if they have eaten the food before so that I know that if it is not good I don’t' have to waste my money on it. Then, also the nutritional value of it. &nbsp;</p><p>Under what circumstances would you consider skipping meals?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>To be honest I don't really skip my meals, but uh – let's say once in a while, in the morning when I am running late, then I skip my breakfast. But that's rare.&nbsp;</p><p>Do you overeat when you are stressed?&nbsp;</p><p>Uhm – actually when I am stressed I undereat, but I would say I have a pretty large appetite – every single day.&nbsp;</p><p>Is there any food that you look forward to eating when you are in school?&nbsp;</p><p>In school, because the food is usually cheaper, I prefer to eat from school than from outside – and um, I personally like to eat takoyaki and waffles as a snack.&nbsp;</p><p>What bothers you when you consume your meals?&nbsp;</p><p>Uh, in school – in school definitely the time, because every day our lunch break is – most of the time it's only one hour, which is quite short. So, even though I am really hungry, sometimes I won't buy um – full meals, because I am scared I won't be able to finish on time.&nbsp;</p><p>Do you have any goals you aim to achieve using your diet?&nbsp;</p><p>Uhm – to be honest, yes, because I am quite skinny and a lot – uh a few people always try to – skinny-shame me. So – yeah, I plan to gain weight, but it doesn't happen.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Where do you usually go to for lunch?&nbsp;</p><p>For lunch, when I am at home, I will eat at home. But in school, I will go to FC3 because it's the nearest to my classrooms.&nbsp;</p><p>How often do you eat breakfast either in school or at home?&nbsp;</p><p>I eat breakfast every single day, unless – uhm – once in a while when I am running late, then I don't eat breakfast.&nbsp;</p><p>What do you usually eat for breakfast?&nbsp;</p><p>I eat buns, or – eggs, or - sometimes like Indian food.&nbsp;</p><p>If you buy snacks, what do you usually eat?&nbsp;</p><p>Snacks when I am in school, I will buy – umm food like popcorn chicken or fries or waffles.&nbsp;</p><p>Who do you usually have your meals with?&nbsp;</p><p>When I am at home, I have my meals with my family. When I am in school, I have my meals with my friends.&nbsp;</p><p>Do you have any diet restrictions?&nbsp;</p><p>No. No allergy, no nothing.&nbsp;</p><p>How do you think your diet affects you?&nbsp;</p><p>Mmm – my diet – uh – personally when I eat a lot of meat from um, cafes – eh not cafes, from outside, uh – I tend to develop like some sort of allergic reaction. And sometimes it makes me sad because – uh – when I see all my friends eat meat and I can't really eat, it makes me a bit sad so – yeah.&nbsp;</p><p>Have you ever tried to make changes to your diet and eating habits?&nbsp;</p><p>Yes.&nbsp;</p><p>If so, what motivated you to do so?&nbsp;</p><p>Um – what motivated me is – when I fall sick then that's when I – I really realised the importance of eating healthy, because most of the time, when you eat healthy you have that immunity to – you know, fight sicknesses. So – um – yeah, I try to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into my diet, and eat a more balanced meal.&nbsp;</p><p>Are there any barriers or obstacles that prevent you from adopting healthier eating habits?&nbsp;</p><p>Mm sometimes – I feel like the healthier foods are a bit more expensive, like salads and stuff. Like if you compare salad and – salad that you get in FC3 and chicken rice you get in FC3, the salad is more expensive so – uhm yeah the cost really, sometimes prevents me from adopting healthier eating habits.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

(pause)</p><p>I think if I have like more free time. If I see – in terms of food I would be more inclined if the food there looks more appetizing. Or if generally more accessible. Cause currently the food that they sell right we are not sure how healthy it is, ya.</p><p>Are you experiencing any stress in your daily life?</p><p>Ya, definitely.</p><p>What do you think can encourage you to develop healthier eating habits?</p><p>Encourage? I think maybe it’s slightly easier if I start - if my mum cooks healthier meals. Like if I eat – cause most of my meals is at home, so technically I eat what my mum makes. So maybe if my mum cooks healthier meals for at least either lunch or dinner, maybe it will become a habit for me.</p><p>What factors do you consider when you choose what you want to eat?</p><p>Ohh, factors? Ok, I see the cuisine and also maybe like the type of (pause)</p><p>&nbsp;I think mainly cuisines – there are some cuisines I don’t really like because they use a lot of spices or flavours – like its too much, you know?</p><p>Under what circumstances would you consider skipping meals?</p><p>I only skip meals if I don’t have the time or if I’m outside and there’s nothing that appeals to me, I would skip my meals.</p><p>Do you overeat when you are stressed?</p><p>Oh, actually ya, actually I do.</p><p>Is there any food that you look forward to eating when you’re in school?&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Oh when I’m in school, I look forward to eating either the Nasi Padang at FC4 or the Lao Ban Dou Hua at FC3.</p><p>What bothers you when you consume your meals?</p><p>I don’t think there’s anything that really bothers me.</p><p>Do you have any goals you aim to achieve using your diet?</p><p>Currently, in my diet I only aim to – I try to meet the dietary requirements for each meal so like I’m opting more for fruits and vegetables instead of just meat.</p><p>Where do you usually go for lunch?</p><p>Uh, usually in school I go for lunch at FC4, cause they have the Nasi Padang that which has a lot of options and also has chicken rice.</p><p>How often do you eat breakfast either in school or at home?</p><p>I eat breakfast every morning, I cannot function if I don’t eat breakfast.</p><p>What do you usually eat for breakfast?</p><p>I usually eat 2 slices of bread with different spreads – either peanut butter or Nutella or jam. And I would drink 1 cup of Milo or 1 cup of Teh O.</p><p>If you buy snacks, what do you usually eat?</p><p>I usually choose those that are spicy – mainly spicy snacks.</p><p>Who do you usually have your meals with?</p><p>In school I usually have meals with my friends. At home, I usually eat with my family because there is a set timing for all the meals.</p><p>Do you have any diet restrictions?</p><p>Only halal.</p><p>How do you think your diet affects you?</p><p>Diet? I think my diet affects whether I feel full or not. Because sometimes when I eat right, I finish my meal, but then actually it’s not that filling enough even though it is a large portion. If I’m not full, I’m not able to continue on with my work or anything, so I have to keep on finding more food to eat.</p><p>Have you ever tried to make changes to your diet and eating habits?</p><p>I try but it is a bit hard if you want to start on your own but your family eats a totally different meal. Cause, my mum buys the groceries, I don’t really have the money to make my own meals, so even though I try, it is not usually a success.</p><p>What motivated you to do so?</p><p>Honestly, once I gained more knowledge from my modules, because in class they taught us more about healthy diet and all and once I reflect back on what I ate, I realised that the food that I take in is not that healthy and not even the bare minimum. So that is what encouraged me to start changing my diet.</p><p>Are there any barriers or obstacles that prevent you from adopting healthier eating habits?</p><p>I guess maybe that I’m not used to eating more variety in my food. Cause, usually it’s just rice and meat but now I have to actively source out for vegetables that I like, but I feel that the ones that they sell in school are vegetables that I don’t like, so that kind of limits what I eat.</p><p>Thank you.</p>]]></description>

I'm quite positive and leading a relatively healthy lifestyle. For example I exercise on a weekly basis like going for a run. In terms of dieting wise not so much. I prefer to eat fast food because it's cheaper.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>What do you think can encourage you to develop healthier eating habits?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>If the government would give us incentive, if the govt gives us coupons so that when we purchase healthier food items it is cheaper. For example, maybe Yoghurt is healthy and potato chips are unhealthy. If you give me a coupon where the yoghurt is a lot cheaper than the potato chips, it would motivate me to buy the yoghurt. So affordability.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>What factors do you consider when you choose what you want to eat?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>The first factor is the price. I'm still a student and I'm on a budget and find that&nbsp; a lot of healthy food is expensive and a lot of fast food is cheap. I'm more inclined to fast food. 2ndly its the convenience cos fast food can be found at most of the shopping malls but idt the healthy food options can be easily found. The 3rd factor would be the taste of the food, healthy food is not tasty bcs it is very bland and too healthy for my liking. But fast food is more tasty because of the flavouring and MSG and how they cook the food.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Under what circumstances would you consider skipping meals?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>If I have to study for an exam or am in a rush to do my hw or assignments I may skip lunch or dinner. So things that have a deadline or due date would encourage me to skip my meals, but other than that I feel like skipping my meals is unhealthy and I do not want to do that&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Do you overeat when you are stressed?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Personally I do not overeat because I feel like it is not a good way to cope with stress, I think that eating too much will lead to obesity so I prefer to use my phone or conduct physical activity to cope with stress&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Is there any food that you look forward to eating when you are in school?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>I think it will be chicken rice bcs it is very cheap and it is tasty. It is not too bland. Fast food also, It is very convenient, just walk a few mins and I can access it. Generally the food in SP is not very healthy, they don't use less salt or msg, I can taste it because everytime I eat I'm very thirsty.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>What bothers you when you consume your meals.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Bothers me?&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Interviewer: An example would be the environment.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>When it's too crowded. I cannot stand it when there's too many ppl in the restaurant or it is too noisy. I prefer to have my meals in peace. The quality of the food bothers me too, when they never prepare properly or when it is uncooked it really pisses me off. Another thing is the friendliness of the staff. If they dont treat me with respect I don’t want to consume their food&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Do you have any goals you aim to achieve using your diet?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>I want to lead a healthier lifestyle so I am trying to cut down on my fast food intake, so I'm trying to eat food from healthier sign stores. Also drinks, because I consume a lot of drinks with high sugar like coke, so maybe from now on I will try to consume drinks with A or B. Also snacks must have the healthier label if not I won't eat them. When I eat outside I will eat according to my healthy plate, and try to consume more meat, veggies and fruits.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Where do you usually go to for lunch?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>On school days I will go fc4 bcs it is the most convenient place to my classrooms, and it is affordable, environment is good, got aircon, the price is good, and there is a large variety, its either that or fc6 sometimes bcs it is quite close and quite accessible to SB. I would usually head to the nearby coffee shop cos it is v convenient to purchase food, but if i am feeling more hardworking I would go to a nearby mall like Vivocity or Tiong Bahru Plaza&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>How often do you eat breakfast either in school or at home?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>I eat bfast everyday. I believe it is very important to start the day right cos if not I feel like i will fall asleep in class and cannot concentrate well, and my grades will deteriorate.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>What do you usually eat for breakfast?&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>I always eat bread, especially wholemeal bread because I feel like it is very healthy. A good day to start the day is to consume something healthy so I always consume wholemeal bread with kaya or butter and I always eat eggs for protein. Like secondary schools are doing a good job to try and cultivate healthier eating habits by providing food that is more healthy and they provide free fruits for students so they cultivate these&nbsp; good habits.
