It usually proceed about a week and most of theaters in Busan are attend that and playing various films, also there are many activities and promotions like a meeting actors and watching movies on the beach with beers by sponsor

and if you go to Busan during the festival,you can meet many international actors at “Hae won dae” (it is the popularist beach in korea) that’s the one of the reason to go there 

It is going to be 22th festival this year, history is not that long but there are ambitious people who love films.

I think New Year's day is the biggest celebration in South Korea.

In South Korea New Year's day falls on late January or early February. because Koreans observe the lunar New Year. So the New Year's day always changes. Just like in many Western countries, celebrations of the New Year's day begin the day before. Holidays of New Year's day start from a day before and last to a day after New Year's day. It is a little bit long holiday.

Most Koreans go back to their hometowns and gather together with their extended families to celebrate New Year's day and many Koreans begin New Year's day with 'charye', a traditional memorial service for their ancestors, early in the morning.

There are many foods like rice cakes, meat fritters, dried persimmons, nuts, vegetables and cookies that people enjoy on New Year's day. The most popular food on New Year's day is 'tteokguk'. Koreans feasts on rice cake soup called 'tteokguk' on New Year's day to celebrate the New Year's day. That is traditional and staple food for New Year's day. Koreans believe enjoying a bowl of 'tteokguk' will bring them good luck and health in the new year.

New Year's day is also a time when traditional Korean folk games are enjoyed by all families. Koreans play some fork games like a game of 'yut' and 'neolttwigi' on New Year's day. New Year's day fork games were first played by our ancestors and that are still played by people to celebrate New Year's day.

On New Year's day, many Koreans wear Hanbok, the traditional dress of Korea. Generally, Koreans wear Hanbok on Chuseok(Korean Thanksgiving Day) or Seollal(Korean New Year's day)

Young Korean also do Sebae(New Year's bows) to their grandparents, parents and older relatives and they gave words of blessing to young Koreans and money. By doing that Young Koreans receive some money from their grandparents, parents and older relatives.

In fact, my favorite holiday is New Year's day :)
