Which one is used depended on the style of image I was going for. For my images I preferred to use F/1.8 because I could keep the camera focus on the food or wherever I wanted it to focus. The difference between F/8 and F/1.8 is the clarity of the background. F/8 shows the background much more clearly, while F/1.8 blurs most of the background. If I were to do this project again I would play more with the lighting and get more creative with my angles.

Some key points I learned about food photography are that lighting and aperture are everything when it comes to taking a really good photo. The lighting used in a photo can contribute to the emotion a viewer would get from the image.
