Krishna is portrayed as a protector which is why he is shown as blue. He defends humans but destroys evil. Another reason for why he might be blue is because Vishnu, who is associated with water, is seen as blue so all Vishnu’s incarnations are shown the same way. He is often portrayed as talented because he holds a flute and is said to play it very well.

A lady went by selling fruits, and Lord Krishna decided he wanted some. He requested for some, but she denied it saying that she wanted something in return. Krishna came running with grains, but they all fell out of his hand. The lady saw this and was smitten by him so she gave him all the fruits for whatever he had in his hands. She looked down to her basket to find it full with different jewels and even gold.

Lord Krishna relates to dharma when he explains to his friend Arjuna that God is above dharma. He talks about how it helps us find our goal of understanding the eternal soul through Krishna, who is the supreme soul. Another concept that Krishna relates to is moksha. Lord Krishna talks to arjuna that “one should give up everything and surrender to Him, and if one were to do this, moksha is assured”. Krishna talks about these in Bhagavad Gita.

Krishna is a god who cares for humanity and tries to protect them which lets me know why the humans are devoted to him and care for him so deeply. It also helps me to understand more about Bhagavad Gita, because it shows how Lord Krishna is displayed many times in it.
