• They briefed me about the organization's system, sharing information about working rules and protocols, daily reporting procedures, allowances, and other relevant aspects.

• Next, I was instructed to introduce myself to all the staff in each department so that they would recognize me as an intern student.

• Then, I was required to make a thumbprint for record my attendance.

• Lastly, I introduce myself to my department which "Community Development Department"

• This program is organized by the Majlis Perbandaran Pengerang in cooperation with Yayasan Makmur Pengerang & Dialog Sdn. Bhd. The purpose of this program is to provide assistance to orphans and asnaf.

• I was assigned to prepare baskets of Kuih Raya food that will be distributed to orphans and the asnaf.

• lastly, I placed participant tags on the tables to position the attending guests properly.

• The program starts at 4:30 pm. until 8:00 p.m. The ceremony was also attended by esteemed guests including the Chairman of Yayasan Makmur Pengerang, representatives of the District Education Office, and Dialog Sdn. Bhd.

• During the program, my responsibility was to serve as usher, making sure everyone was seated in their designated place.

• After breaking the fast, I was assigned to collect the remaining food baskets and additional Raya cakes to take home to the office.

• Following that, I received a briefing from my supervisor Mrs. Farah Ain regarding an assignment delegated by the Head of Department, which involves creating a database concerning entrepreneurship in the Pengerang area.

• Entrepreneurship is a newly established unit within the Community Development Department, and thus, I was tasked with aiding the staff in planning entrepreneurship initiatives in Pengerang. This includes identifying small entrepreneurs and organizing workshops.

• Mr. Rosdi gave a briefing on the work for the planned program which is "Festival Nusantara Pengerang 2024 which will take place this September. The paper is in Motac format.

• Mr. Rosli also asked me to give ideas to improve this program in terms of activities and programs.

• Increasing knowledge about Councilor and operational areas under the Pengerang Municipal Council by identifying zone areas based on map copies.

• I helped prepare presentation slides and maps for the 24 Councilors Zones for reference by the councilor coordinators.

• The meeting concerns the appointment of new Councilors, the role of designated zone coordinators, program implementation procedures, and Council Members' allocations.

• During the meeting, I was tasked with providing technical support to present the prepared slides until the meeting concluded.

• After that, I accompanied Ms. Siti Ekshiela Zuhlaili Binti Saidin to the Majlis Perbandaran Pengerang Main Office to distribute the documents in device format to all appointed councilors coordinators.

• The agenda of the meeting discussed:

I. Setting the deadline for submitting papers for the Nusantara Festival 2024.

II. Preparation of proposal papers for the Benchmark Visit of MPP to Sabah (Kota Kinabalu, Semporna, and Labuan).

III. Preparation of documents for the Lake Clean Up program and Fishing Competition in conjunction with the State-level National Youth Day 2024 at Penawar Lake Square.

IV. Assisting Mrs. Fatin Amira Binti Masri, Administrative & Operations Assistant, in creating the 2024 budget schedule by referring to approval 22/23.

• The Department Head instructed me to take part in the "1 Hour Johor Reads" program and to submit a photo report to the MPP administration for posting on MPP's official social media platforms.

• Jabatan Pembangunan Masyarakar was assigned the responsibility of serving pastries and fruits during the occasion.

• I conducted checks on these entrepreneurs and traders by referring to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM Johor) and the Licensing Division of Majlis Perbandaran Pengerang.

• Furthermore, I asked Ms. Siti Ekshiela Zuhlali Binti Saidin and Mrs. Nurfarahain Binti Mohmed Yasa to conduct a final review of my daily work report for April before submitting it to the human resources department."

• After the assembly, I received instructions from my supervisor to contact agencies that assist entrepreneurs in starting businesses and to gather information about the functions and services they offer."

• After returning to the office, I continued the task given yesterday, which was to gather information about agencies that assist entrepreneurs.

• We held a meeting with stall and food truck operators to inform them about the designated layout for the business site.

• Mr. Rosdi also informed about the dates of 5 additional programs that will be conducted in conjunction with the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the New Building of MPP and finalized the list of official names for each program.

• After that, I assisted the staff in making final preparations for the Lake Clean Up Program and Fishing Competition by preparing prizes such as hampers and cash.

•After the registration session ended, I also participated in helping to clean up the lake area until the program concluded.

•The purpose of this program was to clean up the lake area, which was overgrown with bushes, to ensure a clean environment and facilitate fishing for participants on the competition day.

• As the competition began, I conducted patrols around the pond area to ensure participants adhered to the established rules and to ensure the program ran smoothly.

• After the competition concluded, I assisted colleagues in the prize-giving session for 30 winners. 26 winners received their prizes at the competition site while 4 winners received their prizes on the main stage.

• Therefore, I and JPM staff accompanied Mrs. Hajah Zihan, the Chairman of the Majlis Perbandaran Pengerang, to present prizes to the 4 winners on the main stage.

• After that, myself and office staff went to Desaru Public Beach to collect the Iron Man 2024 t-shirts.

•The agencies involved included Majlis Agama Islam, the Department of Social Welfare, and the Kota Tinggi District Office.

•We gathered information by considering the monthly income and the number of children still under the care of their parents.

•After breaking the fast, Miss Fina and I set up signage at each vendor tent at the Ramadan fiesta.

• After returning to the office, I made preparations by preparing number stickers to be attached to fishing rods for the fishing competition."

• I also assisted staff by preparing ingredients for cooking sacrificial meat soup.

• After that, I distributed the sacrificial meat with Mr. Hafiz to the needy and underprivileged.

• I also accompanied the VIPs on the hike to the first checkpoint to take photos of the VIP lineup involved in the hiking activity.

• In the afternoon, I went to Jeti Teluk Sengat to serve as the registration secretary for the Fishing Competition program.

• During the registration session, I attached number stickers to each fishing rod registered by the participants to prevent cheating.

• After the competition ended, I assisted the staff in the prize-giving session for the 10 winners.

• After that, I participated with MPP staff, government agencies, and uniformed units in cleaning the beach area during the Beach Clean Up program at Pengerang Walk, Sungai Rengit.

• Our first visit was to the Seafood Restaurant Bujang Firefly in Sungai Lebam to inspect the planned construction area of the jetty and boardwalk in the mangrove forest area.

• After that, we visited The Westlands, Kampung Belukar Durian in Sedili Kecil, which is a resort concept tourism site scheduled to open later this year.

• Drafted the rules and regulations for each sports event held.

• Visited the location for the People's Sports competition at Dataran Tasik Bandar Penawar with team members.

• Divided the areas for each sports event held.

• Helped Cik Shiela prepare for the "poisonous balloon" event by filling balloons with water for the People's Sport Competition.

• In the morning, I went to the JPM office to transport program items using a department vehicle to the program location.

•After that, I served as a finish line official to record the names of the first three male and female runners to reach the finish line in the 3km and 5km categories.

• Next, I accompanied Mrs. Hajah Zihan, the President of MPP, to present medals to all the runners who completed their run.

• For the people’s Sports Competition, I managing the capteh competition with Encik Izzuddin. I recorded the three teams with the highest scores to be crowned the winners.

• The challenge faced was:

We worked in wet conditions due to heavy rain during the program.

• The purpose of this meeting was to discuss:

1. Planning programs and activities for senior citizens.

2. Contributions from government agencies for the welfare of senior citizens.

3. Collaboration between government agencies and PAWE.

I would like to express my gratitude to the Department of Community Development for the opportunity to undertake my industrial training here. I also greatly appreciate the guidance and advice provided by all the staff during my tenure with the department. Thank you for the mentorship and support, which has been instrumental in enhancing my experience and knowledge.
