         <title>Allow students to use their first language to negotiate meaning with the content.  This will provide a safer and more comfortable environment for them to comprehend the content and also to start to use the English language.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>We can promote a culturally responsive environment by engaging them other students. We can separate them by proficiency levels  and also according to their different cultures.  Within their group they can utilize their academic language based on the content that is being taught and have them interacting with other students in the classroom. </div>]]></description>

         <title>For group 3, we discussed that the teacher should be informed to allow her students to speak in their native language while working in small groups.  This will help the content be more accessible and create a more culturally responsive environment.  Also, we didn&#39;t discuss this, but we could inform the teacher that it goes against the Meta Consent Decree to not allow the students to speak in their native language. </title>
