Because of the Jews religion, they were hated. I looked up a few facts and a lot of people say that Hitler created the Holocaust. I learned that over one million Jews were killed because of the Nazis, Hitler, and the Holocaust. The Holocaust was the name for the murders of the Jews. To me, it’s such a sad story, and i find it hard to even imagine. All the kids did was help make things for the soldiers. Such as knitting and recycling. The girls would often do the knitting, and the boys would collect war material like aluminum, paper, rubber, and milkweed. The little kids would help, too. They would toss in their metal toys to be melted for war material! The great depression was going on this time, so supplies were scarce.
