Next, they were excited about the possibilities of this new land.

Then they start to explore the zone looking for civilization.
After they explore realized that was a great land with good climatic conditions favorable to the Europeans.

Cristobal Colon made a trip in the 14 century looking for a new commercial route to India, he and 100 men in 3 ships were sailing for two months, and unexpectedly they arrived at a new land.
They arrived at the Antilles where he baptized San Salvador. This episode in history is known as the "Discovery of America".
When they landed on the new continent they were excited about the possibilities of this new land.
