This is how we create a sense of identity, and when we interact, we share that with others. This was also happening back then, all the time. One example of this is Peranakan Beaded Belts. The Peranakan people lived at the crossroads of global trade, which led to them developing a very diverse culture that brought in many parts of other cultures to form their own.
