I’m most proud of my medals in sports day, certificate for 50 class charts and my behaviour and attitude in lessons.

Areas of development I have identified are my time management, studying and organisational skills as well as the amount of effort I’m putting into revising my learning.

Actions I can take to improve

In order to improve I can schedule when I have important assignments / assessments and build a schedule around that prioritising revision / homework. I can also look for revision methods that benefit me. Most of these changes I can make on my own however I may require some support from teachers to find good and fun revision tactics.

My current working grade in Science is still an S+ which I have been on all year. My school and personal target for me is to achieve an M next year. I'm strong in biology however physics specifically light waves is an area of struggle. Furthermore, I struggle to manage my revision time well and I should improve my exam revision technique.

Maths

My current working grade in Maths is an M. I have gone from an S+ in August to this grade. My Cat 4 and wis target was also an M. Some of my strengths are factorising linear expressions and compound interest however, areas I struggle in is simplifying algebraic fractions that require factorising and applying what we've learnt to exam style questions.

- In Term 1.1 we read The Speckled Band by Arther Conan Doyle. In our assessment we had to analyse the character of Helen Stoner. My strengths in this assessment were writing a great introduction that links back to the question and zooming into key words and phrases the question to analyse further. My target on the assessment was to ensure to comment on how the language choices effect the reader.

- In Term 1.2 we focused on Dystopian Fiction reading extracts from The Hunger Games, watching clips and film trailers of Dystopian Fiction. We used pictures or stimuli for our assessment to write a dystopian description. My strengths in this assessment were having clear and imaginative ides and my writing structure is clear and organised paragraphs. My targets were to avoid adding a character, avoid using then, the it's and to begin my sentences with adjectives and adverbs.

- In English I have enjoyed reading and analysis the text the Speckled Band.

- I'm most proud of my attitude to learning and my analysis on Helen Stoner.

- I have completed 60 reading plus lessons. I have worked extremely hard to complete Reading Plus lessons and have earn't class charts and been a Reading Plus Super star.

Spanish

In Spanish I'm currently working at a Mastery level. My school target for me was an S+ and I have exceeded that. However, in order to further improve in Spanish I must ensure to accurately use accents and revise extra vocabulary by uses the online platforms.

Arabic

In Arabic I learned means of communications, technology and how to use the negation style in my sentences. One of my strengths is reading simple sentences in Arabic and I can understand the vocabulary. My next step to improve next term is to express my feelings about something or someone with simple sentences using phrases that indicate feeling, work on my spelling and speaking.

Drama

1. I think I could improve on pitching in more of my own ideas during group work.
2. I think I could also work on using my facial expressions.
3. I think I could develop my drama conventions, mainly flashbacks and freeze frames.

My current grade is an S+. I aim to achieve a M by the end of the year. In order to improve in History I think should focus more in class and have a better attitude towards learning.

Geography

In Geography my current grade is M. I would like to maintain this grade until the end of the year. In Term 1 we completed an assessment on Factfulness. My strengths were having clear and mostly detailed explanations and using appropriate evidence for my essay. My target was to always link my answer back to the question.

Attendance

My attendance was around 91% which I could improve on however, the days I was absent weren't things I could control.

Attitude to learning

My attitude to learning is overall good however, I feel in certain subjects it could have been slightly better and next term I want to constantly focus in my lessons.

For the entire year in the mornings I was always on time and to my other lessons the majority of my time my punctuality was relatively good.

I got a certificate for reaching 50 class charts and won 2 silver medals for triple jump and 80m in sports day.

I have earned the most class charts for practice showing that I am hardworking, persevere and constantly work on the skills taught in lesson. Next year I want to manage my time for homework assignments better so I don't miss deadlines ( that's why I got the negative since I forgot to complete a maths homework assignment ) and remember to bring all necessary equipment for the lesson ( I got the other negative for forgetting my calculator ).

- In term 1.1 we studied the infamous novel A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

- In term 1.2 we studied transactional writing

My assessment grade was between an S+ and M.

While I excel in utilising good SPAG, including relevant evidence and thoughtfully explaining what the evidence and language choices reveal I can improve in making my ideas more clear and concise.

Spanish

- In term 1.1 we studied hobbies, cinema, celebrities and birthdays

- In term 1.2 we studied jobs.

I'm currently working at a mastery level. I'm strong in my vocabulary however I need to work on having accurate accents (though this has improved).

Art EEE

In this EEE we worked on developing our art skills and the suessical set. I chose to participate in this as I don't have any form of art activities in my lessons and had friends in the class.

Mug Club

In this EEE we learnt to bake treats in a mug providing a snack to make that's quick and easy. I chose to join this EEE to have a time to bond with my friends (especially since I don't see them in lessons often).

- I have learnt about marketing strategies and how to make a produce a useful business. I've learnt about different types of businesses and private vs public enterprises, what being an entrepreneur is, marketing + finance e.t.c

- I used communication, collaboration to use all of our groups ideas to create something great and creativity to make something new.

- I learnt the terms stockholders, share holders, private and public enterprises e.t.c

- I think the best project was either Vedika's group or Dima's group

- I think next term I could improve in focusing more in class.

- Firstly, we studied an Inspector Calls by J.B Priestley's and completed our coursework draft on Sheila.

- After this we began studying non fiction texts, learning how to answer questions 1, 2 and 4 on these extracts.

On my assessment for this I got 16/18.

While I excel in including relevant evidence and thoughtfully explaining what the evidence/language choices reveal and why the author included a particular phrase in a certain area I can improve in managing my time more effectively (I didn't finish my 3 paragraphs for the essay question).

I'm currently at a 6 in Maths. My strengths are solving simultaneous equations, factorising quadratics and set notation. I will work on checking my work more, calculating the centre of enlargement and complex equations of a line exam questions.

I am currently at a 6 in Biology. My strengths are describing the changes in the cell that occur during each stage of the cell cycle, phloem and companion cells and communicable diseases. I will work on bacterial growth and writing a method for experiment on antiseptics on killing bacteria.

I am currently at a 5 for Chemistry. My strengths are understanding the uses of fullerenes, completing diagrams to show bonding and explaining why graphite is a good electrical conductor and soft and slippery due to its structure. I will work on balancing equations and calculating relative atomic mass.

We finished the topic of Memory in Psychology. My strengths are outlining the differences between STM and LTM, identifying the stages of memory and understanding MSM. I will work on solidifying my knowledge on the definitions of input, processing, encoding, output and retrieval.

Drama

I have a grade 7 in Drama. So far we have worked on the monologue Almost - working on using different tones, intonation, pitch, gestures and better stage spacing. After working on this we researched different plays - classical, modern and contemporary and selected three monologues in each respective category. We started working on our classical monologue mainly focusing on voice terms - pace, pitch, tone, volume e.t.c. Then, we started our unit on the play The Woman in Black and we went to watch the play live in the theatre, later evaluating aspects of physicality, voice, sound, set, staging, costume and lighting. In addition, we drafted 6 marker and 9 marker questions.

In History we are studying the topic of Medicine where we learn about misconceptions/past beliefs on how disease is spread such as the theory of opposites, the four humours, miasma and spontaneous generation. We also learnt about discoveries of how disease was spread / treatments for disease by Pasteur, Lister, Snow, Jenner e.t.c. Furthermore, we learnt about the Liberal Reforms, causes of and features of the NHS and Women in Medicine.
