         <description><![CDATA[<div>The <strong>demographics of the European Union</strong> show a highly populated, culturally diverse <a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union">union</a> of 27 <a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Member_state_of_the_European_Union">member states</a>. As of 1 February 2020, the population of the EU is about 445 million people.<br><br><br>The most populous member state is <a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany">Germany</a>, with an estimated 82.8 million people, and the least populous member state is Malta with 0.48 million. <a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_birth_rate">Birth rates in the EU</a> are low with the average woman having 1.6 children. The highest birth-rates are found in <a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Ireland">Ireland</a> with 16.876 births per thousand people per year and France with 13.013 births per thousand people per year. Germany has the lowest birth rate in Europe with 8.221 births per thousand people per year.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Europe has many natural resources, from oil and natural gas to gold and uranium. In places like Russia, the difficulty of the terrain has been a roadblock in unleashing its tremendous power in gold, natural gas and oil, while tiny Kosovo has become a target largely because of her disproportionately large endowments in strategic minerals.<br><br>- The resource of fish and water can be found in the Mediterranean Sea. Water is an abundant resource in Europe because there are so many bodies of water in/near Europe. Since fish are in water there is also a decent supply of fish<br><br>- Wood is found in the deep forests of Europe. There is a decent amount of trees found in Europe. You can find oak and evergreen trees here.</div>]]></description>

The 4 most important long-haul destinations are Thailand, China, India and Mexico (based on UNWTO data, 2018).<br><br>- Germany is the largest economy in Europe and the fourth largest of the world, with a gross domestic product (GDP) of €3.8 trillion in 2019. Christianity spread throughout Southern Europe during the Roman Empire, and Christianity was adopted as the official religion of the Roman Empire in the year 380 AD. Due to <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East%E2%80%93West_Schism">the historical break of the Church</a> into the western half based in Rome and the eastern half based in Constantinople, different denominations of Christianity are prominent in different parts of Europe. <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christians">Christians</a> in the western half of Southern Europe — e.g., Portugal, Spain, Italy — are generally <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholic">Roman Catholic</a>.
