Police helicopters circled above downtown Phoenix after the speech, telling people to leave the area or face arrest. Four people were arrested in connection with the rally, including two people charged with assaulting police officers. At some points, tension between Trump supporters and opponents approached disaster.

The missile flew over the Japan and landed harmlessly in the sea, after a flight of nearly 1,700 miles. Public television programs in Japan were interrupted with a rare warning screen announcing the missile’s flight over the country. Several bullet train lines were temporarily halted.

Beijing has not been allowed to visit by the agency's High Commissioner for Human Rights since 2005. Moreover, China has withheld information requested by United Nations bodies that monitor issues like torture, treatment of the disabled and children's rights.
