         <title>Typing vs. handwriting</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I understand students need to learn neat handwriting as well as typing skills.  I wonder if one way or the other is better for student retention of new concepts.  My feeling is that this might be different for each student.  If a student types very slowly, typing might hinder learning.  Likewise, a student who struggles to print letters might be able to focus on content more if they were allowed to type.  I wonder if there have been studies done on this.</div>]]></description>
