There are five types of gears: Spur gears, helical gears, worm and worm gear rack and pinion, and bevel gears. Spur gears have teeth projecting towards or away from the center using in low -speed applications but they can not control noise at high speed. Helical gears have their teeth cut in a spiral shape, they are used in high speed applications, large power transmission Next is worm and worm gear, A worm has just one continuous tooth and it pairs with a worm gear, they are used for reducing speed. About rack and pinion, they consist of a circular gear on the pinion engaging a linear gear or the rack to convert rotational motion into linear motion. Finally is bevel gear, they have a conical form and can be used to transmit rotational power through shafts at an angle, normally 90 degrees.

As I know there are two types of Drive: Belt drive and chain drive. Belt drive is used to transmit motion and power from One shaft to another by means of friction between belts and pulleys while chain drive is for transmitting motion and power between successive chains with sprocket special toothed Wheels. They have some differences. Belt drive is made by rubber, plastic. Chain drive are different from Belt drive because it is made of metal. Belt drive reduces noise and vibration during operation, Unlike belt drive, chain drive causes these problems. Slippage occurs in belt drive but it doesn't occur in chain drive. While belt drive has low efficiency due to frictional loss, chain drive has high efficiency (above 95%). The belt tension of belt drive is affected by atmospheric condition and temperature. Unlike belt drive, chain drive is not. Belt drive requires minimum maintenance except for belt re-tension while chain drive requires regular lubrication. About some application of each type, chain drive is applied in Bicycle, motorcycle, agricultural and textile machinery and material handling equipment while belt drive is used in flour mills, coolant pump, lubricant pump, AC, cam shaft alternator, lath machines and a lot of other machines.

Computer - aided design (CAD) is the creation and handling of pictures on a computer to assist engineers in design and drafting. Manual Drafting is the practice of creating drawings by hand with pencil or ink on a media such as paper or polyester film using drafting equipment. While CAD has a quick layout of a preliminary design and necessary change, manual drafting has the capability to create single detailed drafting (by hand with pencil or ink). CAD needs operation skills (in minimum) and Analytical skills. Unlike CAD, manual drafting requires designing skills and explanation skills. CAD has high accuracy (in representation) and has error (in explanation). Manual drafting is different from CAD, it is easy misreading because of ambiguity and drawing errors . CAD is easy to use and flexible so designers make changes or modifications easily. Unlike CAD manual drafting takes time consuming because drafter has to start from the beginning to make changes.

Some pros of this CAD program are that it is easy and intuitive to use from the beginning, easy to use for 3D modeling. It's also quick and easy to create parts, add them to assemblies and create drawings. Besides pros, SolidWorks has some cons. This program is expensive. It also contains some unnecessary features for the common user.

As far as I know, plastic is a synthetic material. It is versatile, safe, lightweight, durable, chemically unreactive and cost-efficient. So, what can people do with plastic? In the past, about 100 years ago, manufacturers could produce modern synthetic plastics. We couldn't mold plastic into complex shapes. Nowadays, manufacturers can mold plastic into a variety of complex shapes. At present, it is possible to replace components in engines with plastics and plastics can be used in manufacturing to help designers reduce weight in aircraft. In the future it will save money and increase efficiency by using smart plastic coatings on manufacturing components. Soon, it will be possible to use eco-friendly bioplastics in a wide range of applications in electronics telecommunications, aerospace, and automotive. In the near future, we will be able to make plastics from any kind of plant materials. Using plastic brings us a great number of benefits. It is convenient (shopping plastic bags), lightweight (plastic bottles) and cheap posting - (packaging and wrappings). It is also durable and resistant to all kinds of adverse outside factors (heavy rain, storms). However, using too much plastic every day people may face with different problems. First, plastic can hurt the environment. Second, it can not be biodegradable. Finally, plastic cannot be recycled.

As I can be seen in figure 1, this is the process of extrusion molding. There are 6 steps in this process. In Step 1 , we move the polymer pellets from the hopper to the cylinder. Next, An electric motor turns to the screw in the extrusion molder. After that, the cord polymer pellets move along the cylinder. In the next step, Heaters warm the polymer pellets to turn them into a liquid. Next, the warm, soft molten polymer moves along the cylinder. Finally, the machine pushes the molten polymer out into the mould.

In plastic injection moulding there are 2 typical problems : void and sink mark. Void is a phenomenon when a pocket of air is trapped within or close to the surface or an infection moulded prototype. Void is caused by plastic shrinkage (a hole suddenly develops in a thick section during cooling). In addition, plastic volume changes when plastic is heated or cooled. To solve this problem, you need to increase the injection pressure to force more material into the mould and reduce shrinkage, reduce wall thickness, slow down cooling rate and increase gate size and locate it at the thick part of the moulding. Next problem is the sink mark. It is a phenomenon in which the surface of the finished part has holes in the thicker area of the injection molded. The main causes of sink mark are the internal stress is too high and the part has too low a surface rigidity. To solve this problem, we need to have enough shot size, increase holding pressure and holding time, Moreover, we also need to reduce mould temperature and all reduce wall thickness for faster cooling.

This is a high performance cutter. it can cut with very high productivity and the product output is 3 times that of ordinary cutter. This machine is specialized for cutting solid cylindrical iron ingots. because of operating in conditions with a lot of chips, iron dust, high engine and blade temperature. In order for the machine to function properly and avoid breakdowns, regular maintenance is required. First of all, it is necessary to sweep the chips daily after work to prevent dirty chips from sticking to the engine causing the engine to overheat leading to a short circuit. Check weekly and add enough coolant to prevent damage to the workpiece and cutting edge. working . monthly, check the machine shaft for cracks or open circuit to avoid accidents while working.
