Adolescence is a stage of development, a period of transition between childhood and adulthood. All teens go through changes; physical changes, social and emotional changes, and the process of developing their individual identity. Teens who come from different backgrounds are influenced by different cultural norms and parental expectations that stem from different attitudes toward values and norms in society. These different social norms may change the rate of development and affect the adolescent's development in terms of individual identity, social behavior and separation from parents, which are major factors in the teen years.

Often times when we look at our friends or peers trying or doing something that we find fascinating we tend to copy their ways of doing things, and this results in changing our lifestyle according to the cultural norms. Social medias in fact plays a very crucial role in doing so, it shapes our thinking and the way we look at certain things and in many other factors. They are influenced by the culture around them and according to it behave and represent themselves. culture maybe an important aspect for teens but it totally depends on an individual.

Culture plays a vital role in the development of an adolescent. Some culture might not let them do certain things which the other culture does. If the adolescent is exposed to the culture there are certain rules and regulations that need to be followed. Culture also helps in shaping the adolecent's views towards different things. This also results in the adolescent behavior.
