• Ralph Lauren Home: The crystal chandelier and the stripe rug reflect Ralph Lauren’s signature blend of luxury and timeless style. Its refined detailing and classic form bring a sense of grandeur that elevates the entire space.

• Sanderson: The wallpaper’s intricate botanical motif and soft blue tones draw from Sanderson’s heritage of English countryside elegance. I was particularly drawn to the calming palette and the handcrafted feel of the prints, which add warmth and a personal touch.

• Legend Cabinet (built-in cabinetry): The clean, handcrafted built-in nook reflects Legend Cabinet’s dedication to custom craftsmanship and functional design. The use of soft wood tones and precise detailing creates a warm, inviting, and practical retreat.

This composition weaves together a soothing coastal palette, natural textures like woven fiber and ceramic, and refined finishes that create a luxurious yet inviting space perfect for reading on a cozy summer evening (and a cup of tea could add more warmth!)

Crystal Cabinet works- I chose the Cherry kitchen wooden cabinet set to bring a cozy warmth into the space. The traditional design of it also allows for a nice base for more details in the space.

Motawi Tileworks- This moodboard is based around the Checkerspot Rose Stone tiles from the Motawi Yard Hunter series. The 3 accent tiles provide a nice center-piece to the backsplash as well as creating a balance between warm and cool tones with the yellows and oranges in the rose, and the blue-greys in the surrounding tiles.

Notting Hill Decorative Hardware- I was drawn to the intricate Saratoga Rose knob, it is a nice detail in the space, complimenting the rose design on the tiles and adding an elegant touch to the cabinets.

Motawi:

I came across Motawi on a trip to Ann Arbor for a film project. The city was sprawled with tiles and murals. Intensely reminiscent of a neo art-deco style, but with a modern twist. What I found different about Motawi in its murals was its ability to convey these grandiose stories and representations in their composition of color and shape. Opening a wall or even a ceiling to a space bigger than designed. 

For the moodboard I chose Arts & Crafts Fireplace as a reference. A fireplace is a statement to a space, notably a comforting one. It allows anyone within the space to huddle around it’s warmth to connect on a further level than they were before entering the space. Opening opportunities for personal storytelling and connection. The glazes used (2019 Sepia, 5002 Lee Green, 5323 Midnight) work towards a prairie style, neo art-deco design that is bold but dark and soft enough that within warm lighting, is easy and comforting to the eyes. 

Designers Guild:

My Indonesian family prides themselves on horticulturalism. Even when the garden wasn’t enough, and potted plants filled the shelves more often than books inside the home. My mom was always taking me through pastel colored fabrics of Anthropologie. A means of bringing the garden inside the home. Much like Tricia Guild and the Designers Guild does.

These fabrics included on the moodboard from Designers Guild work as accents to the space. Either as table runners, furniture upholstery, or even napkins. Distinguished against solid Amish grain furniture likely from Barkman. I chose these patterns to match the geometry and natural-esque coloring of the fireplace. I want to keep the larger elements such as the furniture within the space neutral, to not over exert the eyes, as it would be a space to entertain and connect. I included a gradient of three from darkest to lightest, preferably having the lighter accents upholstered or used in furthest proximity to the fireplace to not distract from it.

LSA International:

Owning a set from LSA International has always been a dream of mine for when I get the chance to design and set up my own personal space “to the T”. I am a lover of glassware and glass blowing. A process so delicate and precise, it's intensely expressive through the final product. 

I included LSA’s Utility line for welcoming guests with refreshments. Using both the 13 oz Highball and 10 oz Tumbler in Sapphire or clear (if possibly offered), these glasswares are neutral and non confrontational. Working not to distract from the other elements of the space. Additionally I also chose Sapphire or clear as the Slate or Amber color options would blend the glasses into the tables and warm lit space.

Overall the space is intended to work as somewhere comfortable, to draw back into and converse. With small accents throughout the room that can fill the attention of the eye, but not distract it.

Why it stood out: Margraf’s imported Italian marble, especially their Fior di Pesco Carnico®, captivated me with its ethereal veining in blush, grey, and white. The materials feel less like countertops and more like geological art—each slab telling its own story through texture and time.

Motawi Tileworks

Why it stood out: Motawi’s hand-glazed tiles bring immediate warmth and texture to any space. I was especially drawn to their Arts & Crafts–inspired designs, which feel both rooted in tradition and artistically modern—perfect for creating quiet, focal storytelling moments.

Buster + Punch (Hardware & Lighting)

Why it stood out: Buster + Punch brings a tactile boldness to spaces that might otherwise lean too subtle. Their knurled hardware and toggle switches introduce a welcome contrast—industrial yet elevated, grounding yet expressive.

GP & Baker: In this dream bedroom, I chose to put a GP & Baker Ikat wallpaper on all walls thats bold, but soft in color. I was particularly drawn to this company's array of geometric and traditional patterned fabric and wall-coverings.

Sanderson: Sanderson's fabrics are rooted in history and primarily have an english feel often reworking archived designs. What really stood out to me is their extensive range of artist collaborations. Here, I chose a textured stripe that has a satin sheen from their collab with Giles Geacon that aims to modernize traditional designs. This stripe would ideally be used to create pinch pleat drapes, a half tester to frame the bed, or upholster an ottoman and armchair. Personally, Sanderson's collections were by far my favorite to look through and absolute dessert for the eyes!

Lee Jofa: Here, I've used a few of Lee Jofa's furniture pieces as they have a good variety of simple and elegant designs that work well when paired with busy patterns. I really liked their range of wood dressers as they carry both classic wood pieces that will never go out of style as well as statement pieces.

Visual Comfort: I appreciate that wide range of styles that visual comfort carries. They truly have something for everyone. Here, I chose two classic sconces from Ralph Lauren that perfectly compliments, but doesn't compete, with the busyness of the rest of the room.

While this room is definitely for the bold maximalist, it abides by the more pattern the better rule!
