         <description><![CDATA[<p><p>​K Unit 2 Lesson 6: Feelings</p><p>Lesson Concepts: Naming your own 
feelings will help you figure out how other people feel; Feelings can be
 comfortable or uncomfortable; Physical clues can help you identify 
others' feelings.</p><p>Objectives: Students will be able to recognize 
happy and sad; Students will be able to identify that happy is a 
comfortable feeling and sad is an uncomfortable feeling; Students will 
be able to identify a variety of feelings in response to a scenario.</p><p>Materials:</p><p>*Sing Out Loud CD</p><p>*Be-Calm Bunny</p><p>*Lesson Cards</p><p>Warm Up: Think, Turn, Tell (think about a time you were happy)</p><p>Lesson:</p><p>1. Review Listening Rules.</p><p>2. Show photos on cards. Have students practice looking at someone's face and body for clues to how they are feeling.&nbsp;</p><p>3. Have students look at their partner to try and see how they are feeling.</p><p>4. Explain the difference between comfortable and uncomfortable feelings.</p><p>5. Have students pass around Be Calm Bunny and talk about a time they were happy.</p><p>6. Read several scenarios and have students identify how they would feel.</p><p>7. Listening to the Feelings Song</p></p>]]></description>

                            <p>​K Unit 2 Lesson 7: More Feelings</p><p>Lesson Concepts: Situational clues can help you identify others' feelings.</p><p>Objectives:
 Students can recognize interested and afraid/scared; Identify that 
interested is a comfortable feeling and scared is an uncomfortable 
feeling; identify a variety of feelings in response to a scenario.&nbsp;</p><p>Materials:&nbsp;</p><p>*Sing Out Loud CD</p><p>* Lesson Cards</p><p>*Empathy Poster</p><p>Warm- Up: Think, Turn, Tell (think of a time when you felt surprised)</p><p>Lesson:</p><p>1. Listen to The Feelings Song</p><p>2. Look at the photos on the cards. Have students identify how this person is feeling.&nbsp;</p><p>3. Have students share their surprised face with their partner.</p><p>4. Have students share their scared face with their partner. Ask is this a comfortable or uncomfortable feeling.</p><p>5. Read scenarios and have students share how they would feel in this situation.</p>
