First day of this course was different.I expect it would be more formal and difficult day, but I had an incredible experience all day. Firstly, I joined different unexpected activities with different partners each time and enjoyed all of them. Introducing yourself with a star, using web 2 tools like Actionbound, Padlet,Kahoot and working in group with different people would be appropriate and useful in my own classroom. The aim and importance of this project were given or reminded efficiently. I put a lot of things in my pocket today's session. Changing your partners in each activity and working with different people were helpful, useful and a good icebreaker.
While organizing a PDC meeting, I will need enjoyable and effective techniques.Today we were active and learnt some techniques as organizing group work in the classroom.Today' session influence me and I didn't realize how the time passed.

The second day of the course goes on creative activities such as draw your name, telephone lines or onion ring etc. Onion ring is the most effective one for me. It is useful when you want children to repeat a communicative activity with different partners in a structured way. I can use this technique in my own classroom and even in the PDC meeting.

The purpose of today's activities are learning characteristics of young learners in a communicative way.

Reflection for afternoon sessions

Afternoon session; developing oral skills, listening, songs and chants were the main topic. As a facilitator, we involved in chant and clap, listen and do, jamboard( reorder), flip chart papergroup work and adopting activities using framework activities and got new experiences to use in PDC meetings. In order to prepare a listening teaching, you need to insert setting up tasks, monitoring and providing feedback sessions into the framework.

Speaking anxiety is the most common problem.I have met in my classes. Even I have prepared my master thesis about this subject. It is important to understand sts' feeling and try to help. Scalfolding, doing more drills, back changing or matching someone else as pair work or group work are good for them and they feel secure and get confident.
In my opinion, teaching YL is difficult, but we can overcome any challenge by working cleverly and hardly.
In this morning session, Mentimeter can use in PDC meeting as a brainstorming method.
Using dialogues to develop Oral Skills are the enjoyable subject of today. We use a lot of dialogues in our lesson, so I discover the most important point the lesson we have done. It is useful and practical. I have learnt new things to use my classes. Also I have learned new techniques to use in my PDC meeting.I can use Gallery work technique as a evaluation of our teaching period in a PDC meeting. I can match this activity with reflect and evaluate part in the PDC cycle.
In using dialogues, I will give more important to social language, clear and child-friedly context, natural language, meaningful reason and short or simple structure. Finally I will spend more time and energy to do dialogue part exactly.

The lesson started with a useful warm up activity. (Swap the seats) It is enjoyable and motivating.I can use this technique to create a friendly atmosphere in PDC meeting.
Today we have learned about reading. The trainer create a context for learning to read in a new language. Binglish activity is different or confusing and I can only use it in my PDC meeting as a warm up session. There are a observer and a reader. The teacher must model or give an example firstly.Observer listen and fill the questionnaire about strategies, difficulties, feelings of readers.
In order to identify possible difficulties that sts have while reading, we can use top-down and bottom- up reading strategies. We can also overcome typical problems such as afraid of making mistakes, span of attention, lack of motivation and punctuation while reading.I have learnt that reading a passage aloud does not work as you just focus on pronounciation and fluency.
Shared Reading is an enjoyable and remarkable activity for YL children in primary school. It creates a friendly atmosphere and curiosity, motivates children and encourages thinking.I can use this technique in my YL classes easily.
Also you can practise a lot of kinds of activities according to Shared Reading story.
I found particularly Shared Reading interesting and I will definitely use it.I can add or use activities, exercises such as letter games, letter sound link, word recognation, bingo, word masking or sentence building from shared reading text.I can find out or develop different examples from shared reading.

I totally agree with the idea.I can't imagine how it looks from the sight of my school principals; sts wandering around the classrom, some of them are shouting as if the teacher lost control. Classroom management is the most challenging part of our teaching process. There are a lot of unsatisfying situations such as discipline, weak or strong sts, complex context, unclear instructions or having different learning styles.
Solutions:Instructions must be clear and not complicated for sts.You must use visual help, body language, gestures, eye contact and facial expresssions.
In order to solve problems with discipline in the classroom, you must give immediate responses and reactions to the sts.You have to take precations and warn the undiscuplined sts. Also, there must be classroom rules that everybody know, agree and obey.
While teaching you must think all the sts who have different learning styles such as auditory, visual or kinaesthetic. Doing eclectic exercises is the best solution for this probkem.
Staring with an interesting warm up will take their attention so you must go on pre-task activity and inform them about the context.Making pairs or groups, monitor and help weak sts.
I have learnt about the importance of classroom management. Without it there is not effective instructions, warm up, pre- task etc...If there is a problem, also there should be a reason or a solution, too.
I find very useful watching how professionals do it , then I borrow or copy their techniques.

1.Definitely, there are some tips or techniques that I can use to manage my PDCs positively. For example, today's warm up activity ( Chinese Whisper) is great for atarting a PDC meeting. Also; Onion Ring, Colour Phonics, Alphabet Race, Running Dictation, Learningapp categorization and Stop the Bus are the excellent techniques I will definitely use in my classes and meeting PDC meeting.
Most probably I choose Running Dictation and try to give the importance of formal assessment by this technique. It can be suitable, useful, and the most effective technique to use for my PDC meeting next month.
2.Of course, there are other elements of classroom management such as starting an interesting warm up, using attractive review techniques, applying the most suitable assessment or feedback.Games like Alphabet Race can be used to engage all teachers in language and share part of a PDC meeting.Facilator must be stirrers or settlers according to the topic of the month, type of activity and motivation of participants. Also we can use assessment for learning to support and develop their understanding.

Yes, it has changed as I have learnt assessment to be more enjoyable with some techniques.I have just heard 3,2,1 and multiple choice cards as formative assesssment techniques. They are useful and pratical so I can use them both in my classes and my PDC meeting.I have already used thumbs up- down, traffic lights and success criteria.I can also prepare a game for sts and evaluate them and give feedback. Assessment is not just doing exams, we can even evaluate sts during the activity and give posotive feedback.
Afternoon Sessions
1. I think I will improve myself and at the same time I can help other teachers. My means of this course, I've lerant a lot of techniques, strategies, different and enjoyable warm up activitiesand assessment types.I will try to apply some of this in my classes and my PDC meeting, so I can develop both me knowledge and experience. My local context is receptive skills of listening and reading. I can try to find diferent and attractive digital activities about it to catch today's modern teaching world.
2.First of all, I'll establish a whatsup group to communicate and send announcement.I will assist participating teachers in my local area as much as I can and try to answer their questions as best I can.Sharing different and pratical classroom atmospheres and the activities we do in the classroom will be of great benefit to both me and the other participants.
3. I've learnt a lot of techniques, strategies and applied effective activities, so I can copy and apply all these documents to my PDC meeting. Like a lesson plan, I can plan every part of a PDC meeting and practise it in real one.
