He entered the industry as a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served for five years in the early 1980s. By 1990 Paul Prager, had assumed leadership roles as founding managing director of Davco Oil and CEO of Direct Gas. Paul Prager then founded Beowulf Energy, a company he leads as chairman and CEO, and expanded the company's reach to include offices in Europe, the Middle East, and the Caribbean. He also oversees the company's four offices in the United States, including corporate centers in Maryland and New York. Instrumental in expanding the company's portfolio, Paul Prager provided executive leadership for infrastructure projects as well as acquisition of energy-generating plants around the world. He has facilitated strategic sales and cultivated partnerships with leading private equity and trading groups, including Natural Gas Partners and First Reserve Corporation.
