I learned that most educators hold differing beliefs when it comes to the purpose of school and that these beliefs can be passed down and have a huge impact on other educators as well. Such as the source of knowledge and whether or not it’s singular or plural. This is important for me to keep in mind as a future school counselor to know that my own personal beliefs can directly affect other educators.

I’ve learned that on average most educators can believe in a more behaviorist perspective approach based upon their experiences and personal opinions, or that can believe in a more student forward approach. Including shared interaction and togetherness.

I’ve learned that differences in educators and students’ beliefs in connectedness can lead to negative outcomes and defending educators ' beliefs about themselves correlates directly to who they are as teachers and how they maintain classroom management. I’ve learned that it is incredibly important for education to find ways to align their beliefs with the reform that takes place in their schools. As well as reflect upon their own beliefs to each their own true potential so that they are able to lead students to theirs. This thought in particular will impact my future counseling position by reminding myself of how important it is to set aside my own unconscious bias and have an open mind so that my students are also able to grow in their own beliefs.

I learned that educators tend to have the same beliefs throughout their time as educators. As educators a change in belief's can create an effect with other belief system . As a future college counselor I believe that it is important to have a constant belief system to be able to better support system for students. Being a support system for students is my ultimate belief and other beliefs should also follow that.

It was very important to learned in what ways that of educator beliefs vary. As some educator beliefs take a holistic approach and others are in a more essentialist approach. This made me think about what approach is the one that I personally take. Within my own educator beliefs I believe that I take the more holistic approach as I belief in help students reach their goals as much as they can and this is something that I wish to accomplish as a future college counselor.

I would agree as if there are limited resources available it can be harder for you to gain the necessary things to help students.
